Redondo Beach Logo Design

Each and every new Redondo Beach business understands that they require a logo, however few new business owners fully understand the vital role their logo will make in their financial success, or why one logo works far better than another. A company logo has a critical and lasting influence on the prosperity of a company, select the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Redondo Beach businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand deliberation, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will be legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bicycle produced for a Redondo Beach coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually launching in an older part of town and really wanted to cast a retro atmosphere without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I achieved both of these jobs via developing a logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria designed for Redondo Beach medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which researches the causes and effects of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that deals with the clinical evaluation of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I recollect where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more interesting, more attention grabbing and more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping environment-friendly frog developed for a family fun facility in Redondo Beach.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a better dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Redondo Beach travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead convey emotional experiences by means of the images they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Redondo Beach logo but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Redondo Beach logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design jobs that I take on I truly relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however my customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his aversion for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get honest viewpoints on the value of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they really liked the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their business logo recognize how vital a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo project has it’s portion of challenges, however the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Redondo Beach book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most necessary part of a printed book since it is often the very first thing a person views in the book shop. For a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will ever have to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it looks like that in many instances 1 of the aspects individuals tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a sense of air travel and it was surely a victory.

Redondo Beach logo style utilized for marketing as well as a label style for Vintage Situation features an antiquated font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be much older cases. For this brand design I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid vintage feel to it and could be used for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Redondo Beach, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most difficult logo design projects because it appears that almost every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dentists do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really enjoy doing dentistry logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family members nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to describe precisely how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that explains itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair style workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo that related a feeling of tranquility and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious course of crafting simply a stylized orchid but instead crafted a company logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is more often than not the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the importance on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software program programmer the design attributes as well as legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive management. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance supporting a logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it represents.

logo design provided for Advanced Management Solutions, the characters for letter V as well as A in middle of the word progressed have been changed to connect straight right into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Redondo Beach logo design job was completed for a leadership specialist that helps business professionals to become more efficient at overseeing people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a place to market their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Redondo Beach logo dsign using an image that grabs the interest of vehicles and sends an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo design has a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t really designed for an Redondo Beach area farm it was in reality developed for an investments broker, and this company logo was one of several that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to create a graphic that projects trust, financial success, and prosperity.
Logo design created for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is reminiscent of a popular sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed dozens of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked directly with the owner to produce a business logo that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
