Reedley Logo Design

Virtually every new Reedley company realizes that they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs thoroughly grasp the crucial role their logo design will make in their financial success, or why one logo design performs more effectively than another. A business logo has an immediate and long-term impact on the financial success of a company, select the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Reedley businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require scrutiny, they can be grasped in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will be legible and just as emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Reedley coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening up in an old part of the town and wanted to project a nostalgic atmosphere without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled each of the jobs by creating a trademark concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as germs developed for Reedley clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that analyzes the causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare which deals with the clinical examination of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I recollect where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves rather literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and even more memorable.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a household enjoyable center in Reedley.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Reedley travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead project emotional journeys through the photos they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they frequently share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with just words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Reedley logo design but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Reedley logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design projects that I take on I truly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however my client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased point of views on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their logo design realize how crucial a logo is for their business so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo project has it’s allotment of challenges, however the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Reedley publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most crucial part of a published book considering that it is often the first thing a person views in the book shop. For a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will likely ever get to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it seems that in many cases 1 of the items people often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a spirit of airline flight and it was definitely a success.

Reedley logo style utilized for advertising and a tag style for Vintage Situation includes an antiquated typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be vintage cases. For this custom logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Reedley, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most difficult logo projects due to the fact that it seems that every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I actually love doing dentist business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family members nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to summarize exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo style created for a hair design studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a company logo which projected a sense of simplicity and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious path of crafting just a stylized orchid but rather created a logo that implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is frequently the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the main focus on the perception that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Logo style for a software program designer the style functions and iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive managing. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance behind a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

Progress logo style created for a Reedley interior developer, design function a collection of red circles that converge and also replace the letter O in the middle of the logo style.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to sell off their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Reedley logo dsign using an image which grabs the attention of traffic and projects an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo style has an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo idea wasn’t really developed for an Reedley regional farm it was in reality created for an investments broker, and this trademark was one of many that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to make a graphic that projects self-assurance, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo design designed for using a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is reminiscent of a well-known sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked closely with the owner to develop a logo design that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
