Santee Logo Design

Virtually every new Santee company knows they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs fully understand the vital role their logo can take in their financial success, or exactly why one logo works more effectively than another. A business logo has an instant and lasting influence on the prosperity of a business, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Santee companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand contemplation, they can be grasped in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bike created for a Santee coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and bistro were opening in an old section of the town and hoped to cast a nostalgic vibe without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs by means of developing a custom logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and germs made for Santee medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that investigates the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that deals with the clinical assessment of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I call to mind where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more focus grabbing and even more memorable.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a household fun facility in Santee.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and a tree - created for Santee travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather reveal emotional experiences through the pictures they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Santee logo but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Santee logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I honestly savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man truly hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his contempt for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get objective point of views on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo design realize how essential a logo design is for their organization so they are way more invested in the end result. Every logo design job possesses it’s share of challenges, but the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Santee publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped piece of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most vital part of a published book due to the fact that it is in most cases the primary thing a person sees in the book shop. Concerning a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will likely ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems that in many instances one of the items consumers usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a feeling of air travel and it was definitely a winner.

Santee logo design used for advertising as well as a tag design for Vintage Case features an archaic font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old style feel to it and could be used for anything from a website to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Santee, style include an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects because it appears that almost every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually love doing dentistry logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters startled in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to illustrate precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that describes itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair design studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design that conveyed a spirit of ease and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious course of making merely a stylized orchid but rather created a logo which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is oftentimes the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the focus on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Arabian steed logo style developed for an equine cattle ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted a one-of-a-kind logo design tailored to epitomize the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of equines. By having a different head form and high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the highly quite easily recognizable horse breeds in the world.

Las Coffee shop logo layout a tiny restaurant, design consists of a modified script typeface which floats above a group of ornate lines as well as dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo layout a little restaurant, layout contains a customized script font which floats above a team of luxuriant lines as well as dots.

Logo style for a software program developer the design attributes and also iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and drive management. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the owner of the company and in many cases the substance behind a logo design is just as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

Progress logo style developed for a Santee indoor designer, layout attribute a series of red circles that converge and replace the letter O in the middle of the logo style.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Interior design is a diverse profession that consists of conceptual development, space planning, location assessments, programming, analysis, communicating with the stakeholders of a project, construction supervision, and implementation of the design.

logo design done for Advanced Management Solutions, the characters for letter V as well as A in center of words progressed have been customized to tie straight right into words listed below.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly realized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to sell off their previously owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Santee logo dsign using a graphic that seizes the interest of traffic and sends an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo design has actually an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t really composed for an Santee regional farm it was really created for a products broker, and this business logo was one of a handful of that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to design a graphic that projects trust, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo developed for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is similar to a well-known sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked directly with the proprietor to design a logo design that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
