Spring Valley Logo Design

Virtually every new Spring Valley venture knows they require a logo, yet few entrepreneurs fully realize the crucial role their business logo will make in their becoming successful, or why one business logo functions better than another. A logo design has an instant and long-term influence on the financial success of a business, pick the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Spring Valley businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand consideration, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will remain legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a Spring Valley coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were launching in an old part of town and wished to visualize a nostalgic atmosphere without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled the two tasks via creating a business logo concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide as well as germs made for Spring Valley clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that researches the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare which deals with the laboratory assessment of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recollect where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and a lot more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog developed for a household enjoyable facility in Spring Valley.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - made for Spring Valley traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector because travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but rather reveal emotional experiences through the images they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they frequently share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Spring Valley logo design but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Spring Valley logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design projects that I take on I seriously enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but my customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members didn’t share his contempt for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage all of them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial judgements on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they really loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their logo comprehend how crucial a logo design is for their business so they are way more invested in the end result. Every logo design project possesses it’s share of challenges, but the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, layout for Spring Valley publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, however it is the most necessary part of a printed book considering that it is usually the primary thing a person views in the book store. With respect to a publisher, it’s the opportunity that they will ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems that in many instances one of the items consumers usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a feeling of air travel and it was certainly a winner.

Spring Valley logo design used for advertising and marketing and a tag design for Vintage Situation features an old-fashioned font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be older cases. For this business logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could be used for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Spring Valley, design include an arc with lines converging via it to imply metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most challenging logo design jobs because it seems that each and every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental offices do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really enjoy doing dentist logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters startled in height to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to explain how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style created for a hair style studio including a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design that related a feeling of contentment and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious path of making merely a stylized orchid but instead created a business logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is oftentimes the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the importance on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Logo design for a software programmer the layout attributes as well as renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the substance behind a logo is just as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly understood the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a place to market their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Spring Valley logo dsign with a graphic that grabs the interest of vehicles and projects an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo style has an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t actually created for an Spring Valley regional farm it was in reality devised for an investments broker, and this logo was one of several that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to create a graphic that projected confidence, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo design designed for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a renowned sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked closely with the owner to produce a logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
