STRATEGIES FOR CHOOSING THE BEST LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A logo design is an investment in both your time and your money so anytime a design agency presents a money back guarantee try to bear in mind that they can not refund the amount of time you invest which is much more valuable than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Many design firms talk a good game but in the end a design agency can only be determined by the quality of their portfolio, if the work in their portfolio doesn’t feature actual examples chances are they will never be able to produce a top quality logo design.

VISION

A logo’s objective is to be recognized and be unforgettable, and it’s objective is to echo your personal vision for your business. If a designer is not focused on actualizing your vision, the thing they are actually focused on is how fast they will get paid.

Stevenson Ranch LOGO DESIGN

For over two decades ImageCo has been helping small business owners cultivate unforgettable brand identities. We have done brand design work for builders, universities, heart surgeons, wedding singers, coffee roasters, retailers, and practically every other kind of business concern you can imagine. What makes us different compared to typical graphic designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we undertake every logo design project as if it will be employed as an electric sign. As a result of our sign first method our brand identity designs can, and have been employed in everything from fashion labels to electrical signs. Our sign first technique ensures that our logos are equally reliable whether they are used in TV commercials or web headers, they are consistently identifiable, understood, and always remembered regardless of scale or use.

American Made ★ Design

The one difference which seriously sets ImageCo apart from other design companies that you may have encountered online, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that absolutely every project we are hired to do, we perform in-house. No matter the kind of project we accept, logo, business website, trade show banners, or retail sign, we do not, and never will farm-out our customer’s work to 3rd parties located outside the US. Whenever you call us at 1-855-IMAGECO the person that picks up the telephone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a broker that marks up the price of your project and dictates the terms of how my customers and I do business.

QUALITIES OF A GREAT LOGO DESIGN

Nearly every new Stevenson Ranch organization understands that they need a logo, but few start-ups entirely comprehend the crucial role their logo design can play in their becoming successful, or why one logo design works more effectively than another. A company logo has an instant and long term influence on the viability of a company, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Stevenson Ranch businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t need contemplation, they can be grasped in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos which work on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel right, and they are suitable for the item or business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be timeless and will feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

understand your brand

Brand – It’s both a verb and a noun, it’s an identifying mark and the process of marking something to ensure that it can be recognized, its origin originates from the brand burned onto animals. Today a brand signifies basically anything with a motive, whether it be revenue or politics, a brand is an inherent aspect of defining the value of something in the customer’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like advertising and marketing’s sexy sister, they are both from the exact same family, the difference being that advertising and marketing are about making a promise and branding’s goal is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity competition aimed at a specific audience, it’s objective is to create a mental image that the audience can identify with.

Brand Image – An image planted and nurtured through advertising and marketing as well as identity design. When a person states the brand names Porsche or Mustang what we consider is their brand image, it’s a picture that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a car with 4 wheels that can move us from point A to point B, the image we have (or at least I have) is of freedom, beauty, of something dangerous and exotic . That is brand image and brand image is what makes people want those products. Brand image is why individuals purchase most things, from Nike to Adidas Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that we can relate to.

Branding Firms – If you look back at the origin of a lot of branding agencies you’ll discover that they are often re-branded marketing and advertising firms. When somebody states they are in marketing many people will likely have a preconceived notion about the type of work they do anything that can be seen, felt or heard belong to a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designer
– A brand identity designer is a designer that specializes in a kind of visual design that helps shape the perception of a business, a product or a business. Brand identity designers create logo designs, sign designs, packaging, and also collateral material such as business cards, stationery, as well as pamphlets. Some identity designers also build websites and also software interfaces. The vital role of a brand identity designer is to establish the visual cues and also an emotional tone with the objective of influencing activities, results and perceptions.

Featured signs/logos

Retro logo design of a bike produced for a Stevenson Ranch coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening in an older part of the city and hoped to project a retro vibe without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished both of these tasks via creating a trademark design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide as well as bacteria made for Stevenson Ranch medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which researches the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the laboratory evaluation of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I recollect in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents very literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more captivating, more interest grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a household enjoyable facility in Stevenson Ranch.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental professionals, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Stevenson Ranch traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality because travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead reveal emotional experiences through the images they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they often share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Stevenson Ranch logo but also to illustrate the depth of her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Stevenson Ranch logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I seriously enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however the client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his scorn for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased viewpoints on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they really loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo design understand how crucial a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the final result. Every logo design job possesses it’s portion of difficulties, but the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Stevenson Ranch book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin parcel of real estate to work with, yet it is the most vital part of a published book considering that it is ordinarily the primary thing a person views in the bookstore. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will likely ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it looks like that in many cases 1 of the things consumers usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest fledgling commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a sense of air travel and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Stevenson Ranch logo style made use of for advertising as well as a tag layout for Vintage Case features an antiquated font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be much older cases. For this custom logo design I sought to come up with a logo that offered a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another era.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Stevenson Ranch, layout consist of an arc with lines converging via it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs considering that it seems that every single dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really love doing dentist logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters startled in elevation to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to explain precisely how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that describes itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo design developed for a Stevenson Ranch hair style workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo that projected a spirit of ease and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious direction of designing merely a stylized orchid but instead created a logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is frequently the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the main focus on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Arabian horse logo layout created for an equine ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted an original logotype concept tailored to exemplify the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of equines. With an identifiable head shape and very high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the very most easily recognizable horse types in the world.

Las Cafe, A Stevenson Ranch restaurant logo design a little dining establishment, design consists of a modified script font style which hovers over a team of elaborate lines and also dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo style a small dining establishment, layout consists of a changed script font style which hovers over a team of ornate lines and also dots.

Logo style for a software program programmer the design functions as well as renowned Stevenson Ranch component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive operations. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism behind a logo is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

Advance logo design produced for a Stevenson Ranchindoor developer, style feature a collection of red circles that intersect and also replace the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Stevenson Ranch interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is a professional who plans, explores, collaborates, and manages such tasks. Interior design is a multifaceted profession that includes conceptual development, space planning, site assessments, programming, study, interacting with the stakeholders of a project, construction supervision, and implementation of the design.

logo design done for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Stevenson Ranch, the personalities for letter V and A in middle of words progressed have actually been changed to connect straight into words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Stevenson Ranch logo design project was done for a management specialist that enables business professionals to develop into more effective at overseeing people, expectations, and productivity.

A Stevenson Ranch business logo layout including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly realized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to sell their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts.

I created their Stevenson Ranch business logo design along with an image that garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.

Logo design MQ ranches, this Stevenson Ranch company logo style has actually a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t actually designed for an Stevenson Ranch area farm it was really devised for an investments broker, and this creative logo was one of several which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to develop an identity that projected self-assurance, success, and affluence.

Stevenson Ranch Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo design function for externally facing arrow and also the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what kind of logo design that they wanted, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the flexibility to explore any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without recognizing where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this particular case, I struck a bullseye with the first go.

Logo design created for the use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is evocative a well-known Stevenson Ranch sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked closely with the owner to design a logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
