Torrance Logo Design

Every new Torrance company understands that they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners entirely are aware of the pivotal role their logo will make in their success, or why one logo design works far better than another. A business logo has a critical and sustaining influence on the growth of a business, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Torrance companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require contemplation, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle developed for a Torrance coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee shop were launching in an old section of the city and really wanted to project a nostalgic vibe without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled both jobs via creating a sign concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and also germs developed for Torrance medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which deals with the laboratory assessment of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I recall in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more interest grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping environment-friendly frog made for a family enjoyable facility in Torrance.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Torrance traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather project emotional experiences by means of the photos they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they often tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Torrance logo design but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Torrance logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design jobs that I take on I truly relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but my client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family did not share his scorn for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to talk about it with friends and family as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased assessments on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they adored the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their business logo recognize how crucial a logo is for their business so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo job possesses it’s portion of hurdles, but the greatest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Torrance book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender segment of real estate to work with, but it is the most essential part of a printed book because it is usually the primary thing a person views in the bookstore. For a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will likely ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it looks like that in many instances 1 of the traits consumers usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a sense of flight and it was surely a winner.

Torrance logo design used for advertising and marketing as well as a label design for Vintage Instance includes an old font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this brand design I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Torrance, design include an arc with lines converging with it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo design jobs due to the fact that it seems that every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dental care logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family members nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters surprised in elevation to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to summarize exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo layout created for a hair design studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo that carried a sense of ease and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious path of crafting just a stylized orchid but rather crafted a business logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is frequently the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the attention on the feeling that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Logo design for a software application designer the design functions and also famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it represents.

Develop logo style produced for a Torrance indoor developer, style feature a collection of red circles that intersect and replace the letter O in the middle of the logo style.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly recognized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to sell off their pre-owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Torrance logo dsign using an illustration that captures the attention of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo concept wasn’t really produced for an Torrance regional farm it was really designed for an investments broker, and this company was one of multiple that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to generate a graphic that projected esteem, success, and affluence.
Logo created for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript typeface that is similar to a popular sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked directly with the business owner to produce a logo design which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
