Tracy, California Logo Design

Every new Tracy venture realizes that they require a logo, yet few entrepreneurs entirely grasp the pivotal role their business logo can play in their financial success, or why one logo design works far better than another. A company logo has a critical and long term impact on the growth of a business, go with the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a business.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Tracy, California companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand deliberation, they can be realized in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will remain legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Tracy, California coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening in an older part of the town and wanted to project a vintage vibe without coming across as boring or low energy. I fulfilled both tasks by means of developing a trademark design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and bacteria created for Tracy, California clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that investigates the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that works with the clinical evaluation of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the only instance I remember where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents very literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more interesting, more attention grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog developed for a household fun facility in Tracy, California.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental professionals, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Tracy, California traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather convey emotional experiences by means of the pictures they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with mere words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Tracy logo design but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Tracy logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I truly relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however my customer, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his aversion for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced viewpoints on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their business logo recognize how crucial a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo job possesses it’s portion of obstacles, but the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Tracy, California publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, however it really is the most critical part of a printed book since it is in most cases the initial thing a person views in the bookstore. For a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will likely ever have to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart but it seems that in many cases 1 of the things folks tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a feeling of flight and it was definitely a victory.

Tracy logo layout utilized for marketing and a label layout for Vintage Case includes an archaic font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be much older cases. For this brand concept I sought to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Tracy, California, layout include an arc with lines intersecting through it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo projects because it seems that almost every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dental practices do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually enjoy doing dental logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family members not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 characters startled in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate precisely how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo style produced for a hair design workshop including a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo which conveyed a sense of calmness and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious route of making simply a stylized orchid but alternatively created a logo that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is generally the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the emphasis on the feeling that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Arabian steed logo layout developed for an equine cattle ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian program horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted a one-of-a-kind creative logo concept tailored to illustrate the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of horses. With a different head shape and very high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the very most easily identifiable equine breeds in the whole world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo design a small restaurant, style consists of a modified manuscript typeface which hovers above a team of ornate lines and dots.

Logo layout for a software program programmer the style functions as well as renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive managing. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a company logo is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

A logo style featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a place to sell off their used items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Tracy logo dsign using an illustration that captures the attention of traffic and sends an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t actually composed for an Tracy, California area farm it was really designed for a products broker, and this creative logo was one of many which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to design a brand mark that projected esteem, effectiveness, and luxury.

Tracy Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo style function for externally encountering arrow as well as the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design they preferred, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the flexibility to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye without knowing where the target is. Thankfully, in this particular instance, I nailed a bullseye with the 1st shot.

Logo design designed for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is evocative a renowned sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked closely with the proprietor to develop a business logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
