Turlock Logo Design

Virtually every new Turlock venture knows they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs entirely comprehend the essential role their company logo will perform in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo works more effectively than another. A logo has an instant and lasting effect on the prosperity of a business, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Turlock companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require consideration, they can be realized in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will be legible and just as emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle developed for a Turlock coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were opening in an old section of the area and wanted to project a vintage atmosphere without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished each of the tasks via designing a logo design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide and also bacteria developed for Turlock medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that examines the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that works with the laboratory evaluation of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recall where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents very literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo design with a leaping eco-friendly frog designed for a family enjoyable center in Turlock.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental professionals, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design including a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Turlock traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather communicate emotional experiences by means of the images they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they frequently convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Turlock logo design but also to reveal the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Turlock logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design jobs that I take on I seriously enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however my customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his contempt for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased viewpoints on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their logo understand how essential a logo is for their company so they are way more invested in the outcome. Every logo design project has it’s portion of challenges, however the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Turlock publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, yet it is the most vital part of a printed book since it is usually the first thing a person sees in the bookstore. For a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity they will ever have to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems that in many instances one of the items folks usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small new venture commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a feeling of flight and it was undoubtedly a success.

Turlock logo style made use of for advertising and marketing as well as a label style for Vintage Case includes an old-fashioned font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be older cases. For this custom logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Turlock, style consist of an arc with lines converging with it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs considering that it seems that every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I actually love doing dentistry logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 characters staggered in height to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to summarize exactly how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo layout created for a hair style studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo design which conveyed an atmosphere of calmness and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a concept that didn’t go the obvious route of crafting merely a stylized orchid but instead designed a business logo that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is oftentimes the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the main focus on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Las Coffee shop logo style a small dining establishment, layout contains a changed manuscript font style which hovers above a team of ornate lines as well as dots.

Logo layout for a software application designer the layout functions as well as famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive managing. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a logo is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it stands for.

A logo layout including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to sell their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Turlock logo design dsign along with a graphic that pulls in the attention of vehicles and sends an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo design has an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t actually produced for an Turlock regional farm it was actually developed for a products broker, and this particular logo was one of many which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to create an identity that projects trust, success, and affluence.
Logo created for making use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font that is similar to a well-known sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked closely with the owner to design a business logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
