Twentynine Palms, California Logo Design

Each and every new Twentynine Palms business knows they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs fully comprehend the essential role their logo will perform in their success, or exactly why one logo works more effectively than another. A business logo has a critical and lasting influence on the prosperity of a business, select the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a company.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Twentynine Palms, California companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand consideration, they can be comprehended in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from labels to posters a scalable logo will remain legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos which operate on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be enduring and should feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.
Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Twentynine Palms, California coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were launching in an older section of the community and wished to visualize a vintage vibe without coming across as boring or low energy. I fulfilled both tasks by means of creating a company logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and also bacteria made for Twentynine Palms, California medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which researches the causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that works with the laboratory examination of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more appealing, more attention grabbing and more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping environment-friendly frog designed for a family fun center in Twentynine Palms, California.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a better lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Twentynine Palms, California travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead convey emotional experiences through the photos they record. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Twentynine Palms logo but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Twentynine Palms logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I truly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his aversion for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to share it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased assessments on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really liked the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to create their logo understand how crucial a logo design is for their business so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo job has it’s portion of challenges, however the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, layout for Twentynine Palms, California book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, however it really is the most necessary part of a printed book since it is usually the first thing a person sees in the book store. Regarding a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will likely ever get to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go nevertheless it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the items consumers often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a feeling of flight and it was definitely a winner.

Twentynine Palms logo design utilized for marketing and a label layout for Vintage Case features an old typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be much older cases. For this logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old style feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different era.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Twentynine Palms, California, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most difficult logo projects because it seems that every single dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dental professionals do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dental care logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a household not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities surprised in elevation to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to describe specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo design produced for a hair design studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo that projected an atmosphere of calmness and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a design that did not go the obvious direction of crafting merely a stylized orchid but alternatively created a logo design which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is in most cases the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the importance on the feeling that they wanted to project to their clients.

Logo layout for a software developer the design features and also iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk operations. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the meaning behind a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the business it represents.

A logo layout including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly recognized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to sell their previously owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Twentynine Palms logo design dsign along with an image which captures the interest of traffic and sends an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo layout has a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo design wasn’t actually designed for an Twentynine Palms, California regional farm it was in reality designed for a commodities broker, and this particular logo was one of many which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to design a graphic that projected trust, effectiveness, and wealth.

Twentynine Palms Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo design attribute for externally encountering arrow as well as the arrowheads imply that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design that they preferred, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the freedom to explore any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without realizing where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this particular instance, I nailed a bullseye with the very first go.

Logo design designed for using a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is reminiscent of a popular sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed loads of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to develop a logo design which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
