Valley Glen Logo Design

Virtually every new Valley Glen company understands that they need a logo, yet few new business owners fully realize the vital role their company logo can play in their success, or exactly why one business logo performs better than another. A company logo has a critical and long term influence on the prosperity of a company, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Valley Glen businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require consideration, they can be realized in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Valley Glen coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening in an older part of the area and really wanted to visualize a nostalgic atmosphere without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled each of the jobs via designing a sign concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs developed for Valley Glen clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which researches the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that works with the clinical assessment of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I recall in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Usually I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more captivating, more attention grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog created for a family fun center in Valley Glen.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental professionals, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - designed for Valley Glen travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field because travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but rather project emotional journeys through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I tried to do something similar to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Valley Glen logo but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Valley Glen logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design projects that I take on I genuinely take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but the customer, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man really despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members did not share his aversion for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral viewpoints on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really liked the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their logo realize how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are way more invested in the outcome. Every logo project has it’s allotment of difficulties, but the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Valley Glen book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most important part of a printed book due to the fact that it is often the primary thing a person views in the book store. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will ever have to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it seems that in many instances one of the things individuals often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a sense of flight and it was definitely a winner.

Valley Glen logo layout used for marketing and also a tag layout for Vintage Situation includes an old font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be vintage cases. For this business logo design I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a website to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Valley Glen, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs considering that it seems that every single dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dental care business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 characters startled in height to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate precisely how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo layout created for a hair style studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo which projected a feeling of peace and class for their new hair salon. I created a concept that didn’t go the obvious route of designing merely a stylized orchid but instead designed a business logo that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is oftentimes the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the importance on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their customers.

Arabian horse logo layout developed for an equine cattle ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian program horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed a one-of-a-kind logo design fashioned to illustrate the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of equines. By having a distinctive head shape and very high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most quite easily recognizable horse types in the whole world.

Logo style for a software program programmer the layout features and famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the company it represents.

A logo design featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly knew the market was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to sell their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Valley Glen logo design dsign utilizing an illustration that garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo style has actually a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t actually created for an Valley Glen regional farm it was actually designed for a commodities broker, and this business logo was one of many that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to generate a graphic that projected self-assurance, success, and wealth.
Logo made for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is similar to a famous sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked directly with the owner to produce a logo design that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
