Vincent Logo Design

Virtually every new Vincent venture realizes that they are in need of a logo, yet few entrepreneurs fully recognize the crucial role their business logo will perform in their becoming successful, or why one logo works far better than another. A business logo has an immediate and long-term effect on the prosperity of a business, select the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Vincent companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand deliberation, they can be grasped in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Vincent coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening up in an old section of the community and wished to visualize a retro vibe without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks by developing a business logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria made for Vincent clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that investigates the causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which works with the clinical assessment of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recollect in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Generally I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping green frog created for a household enjoyable center in Vincent.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Vincent travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead communicate emotional experiences through the pictures they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something the same to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Vincent logo design but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Vincent logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I truly savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his aversion for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get impartial opinions on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they really loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to create their logo comprehend how vital a logo is for their business so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo project has it’s share of obstacles, but the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, layout for Vincent book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender segment of real estate to work with, but it is the most critical part of a printed book considering that it is usually the first thing a person sees in the book store. With regard to a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it seems that in many occurrences one of the items consumers usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest startup commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a sense of air travel and it was definitely a winner.

Vincent logo style utilized for advertising and marketing and also a tag design for Vintage Instance features an antiquated font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be antique cases. For this business logo design I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Vincent, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects considering that it appears that each and every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental offices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dental business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a household nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities surprised in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to illustrate exactly how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that describes itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair layout workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo that related a spirit of peace and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious route of crafting merely a stylized orchid but rather delivered a logo that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is frequently the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the focus on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software program programmer the design attributes and renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk managing. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the meaning behind a logo design is equally as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

A logo layout featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly realized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a spot to market their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Vincent business logo dsign along with an image which garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo design has actually an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo design wasn’t really composed for an Vincent regional farm it was in reality developed for a commodities broker, and this logo design was one of several which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to develop a graphic that projects self-assurance, financial success, and luxury.
Logo design designed for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a renowned sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created loads of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to create a business logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
