Vincent, California Logo Design

Each and every new Vincent business person understands that they need a logo, however few new business owners thoroughly realize the pivotal role their business logo will play in their financial success, or the reason that one logo design performs better than another. A company logo has a critical and long-term influence on the viability of a business, pick the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of an organization.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Vincent, California companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand consideration, they can be comprehended in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to movie screens a scalable logo will be legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos which work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be timeless and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.
Retro logo style of a bike created for a Vincent, California coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening up in an old section of town and wanted to visualize an old-fashioned atmosphere without coming across as boring or low energy. I achieved each of the tasks by means of designing a sign concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and also bacteria developed for Vincent, California clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that works with the laboratory assessment of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I remember in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more captivating, more interest grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo design with a leaping eco-friendly frog designed for a household fun center in Vincent, California.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Vincent, California traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather communicate emotional experiences by means of the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they frequently tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Vincent logo but also to reveal the depth in her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Vincent logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I genuinely enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however my client, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man seriously hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his contempt for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased opinions on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their logo recognize how vital a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo design job has it’s portion of hurdles, however the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Vincent, California book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most necessary part of a published book given that it is often the initial thing a person views in the book shop. Concerning a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will likely ever have to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it seems that in many instances 1 of the aspects consumers often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a spirit of air travel and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Vincent logo style made use of for advertising and also a label design for Vintage Case features an archaic typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be much older cases. For this brand design I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Vincent, California, layout include an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs because it seems that virtually every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dentist business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a household nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities staggered in height to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to explain exactly how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a hair style workshop including a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo which projected a feeling of peace and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious direction of crafting just a stylized orchid but rather created a company logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is oftentimes the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the main focus on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Arabian horse logo design developed for an equine ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a distinct brand design fashioned to embody the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of equines. With an identifiable head shape and very high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the most immediately recognizable horse lineages in the entire world.

Logo design for a software programmer the design attributes and legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge in between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a logo is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

A logo layout including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly knew the market was primed for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to market their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Vincent logo dsign utilizing an illustration that captures the attention of vehicles and sends an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo design has actually a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t really developed for an Vincent, California area farm it was really developed for a commodities broker, and this creative logo was one of multiple that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to design a graphic that projected assurance, financial success, and opulence.

Vincent Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo layout function for externally dealing with arrowhead as well as the arrowheads imply that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design they desired, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the liberty to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye without realizing where exactly the target is. Luckily, in this particular case, I hit a bullseye with the very first shot.

Logo design made for using a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font style that is similar to a popular sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked directly with the business owner to produce a logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
