Vineyard Logo Design

Nearly every new Vineyard venture understands that they require a logo, however few new business owners entirely are aware of the essential role their logo design can make in their success, or why one business logo functions far better than another. A company logo has a critical and long term influence on the growth of a company, go with the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Vineyard companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require consideration, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Vineyard coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening in an old section of the community and wanted to project an old-fashioned atmosphere without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled each of the tasks by means of developing a logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and germs developed for Vineyard clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that investigates the root causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare which works with the laboratory examination of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I recollect in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Generally I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more captivating, more attention grabbing and a lot more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping green frog made for a household enjoyable center in Vineyard.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and a tree - developed for Vineyard travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead reveal emotional journeys by means of the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they frequently tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with mere words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Vineyard logo but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Vineyard logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design projects that I take on I truly relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but the customer, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his contempt for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage all of them to share it with friends and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral assessments on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to create their business logo realize how important a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo design job possesses it’s allotment of hurdles, but the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Vineyard book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender segment of real estate to work with, however it is the most important part of a published book since it is in most cases the first thing a person sees in the bookstore. Regarding a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it seems that in many cases 1 of the things folks tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a feeling of air travel and it was surely a victory.

Vineyard logo layout made use of for marketing and a label style for Vintage Situation features an old-fashioned typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be much older cases. For this brand concept I tried to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old style feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Vineyard, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can be one of the most challenging logo projects because it seems that almost every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dentistry logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 characters surprised in height to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the families in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain exactly how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style created for a hair design studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo which conveyed a sense of simplicity and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious direction of designing simply a stylized orchid but instead designed a logo which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is oftentimes the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the focus on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Logo layout for a software program developer the design attributes and also legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in many cases the meaning supporting a logo is equally as important as how it brands the company it represents.

Progress logo layout produced for a Vineyard indoor developer, design function a collection of red circles that converge and also change the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

A logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly understood the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a location to sell off their used items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Vineyard business logo dsign with an image that grabs the interest of vehicles and sends an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand idea wasn’t actually created for an Vineyard area farm it was in reality created for a commodities broker, and this particular company was one of several which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to develop a image that projects self-confidence, effectiveness, and luxury.
Logo design created for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is reminiscent of a well-known sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked closely with the proprietor to produce a business logo which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
