Wasco, California Logo Design

Virtually every new Wasco business professional knows they require a logo, however few new business owners thoroughly realize the pivotal role their company logo will play in their becoming successful, or why one logo design works more effectively than another. A business logo has an immediate and sustaining influence on the success of a company, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a company.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Wasco, California businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require consideration, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be enduring and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.
Retro logo style of a bike created for a Wasco, California coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening in an older part of the community and wished to visualize a nostalgic feel without appearing as boring or low energy. I achieved both jobs by means of developing a sign design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria made for Wasco, California medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which studies the triggers and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that deals with the clinical assessment of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I remember where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping green frog designed for a family fun facility in Wasco, California.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Wasco, California traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead reveal emotional journeys by means of the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they frequently tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Wasco logo but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Wasco logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but my client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his hatred for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced opinions on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their business logo realize how vital a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo job possesses it’s allotment of difficulties, but the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Wasco, California book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender slice of real estate to work with, yet it is the most crucial part of a printed book given that it is ordinarily the very first thing a person views in the book store. For a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will ever get to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it seems that in many occurrences one of the things people tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a good sense of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Wasco logo style utilized for advertising and marketing and also a tag layout for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for music instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this business logo design I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Wasco, California, style consist of an arc with lines converging through it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it appears that almost every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually love doing dentistry logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family members not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 characters surprised in height to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to describe specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design developed for a hair design studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo design that carried an atmosphere of tranquility and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a design which did not go the obvious direction of making merely a stylized orchid but rather crafted a logo design which implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is usually the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the focus on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Logo layout for a software application developer the layout functions as well as legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive management. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in many cases the significance supporting a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the business it represents.

A logo design including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to sell their used items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Wasco logo design dsign utilizing an image which seizes the interest of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo style has a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t really created for an Wasco, California area farm it was really created for a products broker, and this trademark was one of several which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to create a brand mark that projected trust, success, and wealth.

Wasco Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo layout function for externally dealing with arrowhead and the arrowheads imply that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what type of logo design that they preferred, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the opportunity to investigate any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye in the absence of recognizing where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this particular case, I hit a bullseye with the first go.

Logo design designed for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is evocative a popular sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created quite a lot of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked directly with the proprietor to develop a logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
