West Hollywood Logo Design

Each and every new West Hollywood company knows they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs thoroughly comprehend the crucial role their logo design can take in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo functions more effectively than another. A company logo has a critical and sustaining impact on the growth of a company, choose the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help West Hollywood businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand scrutiny, they can be grasped in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a West Hollywood coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and bistro were launching in an old section of the community and wanted to cast a nostalgic vibe without appearing as boring or low energy. I fulfilled both jobs by means of designing a business logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria created for West Hollywood clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which studies the root causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which deals with the clinical evaluation of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the only instance I recall in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents very literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog created for a household fun facility in West Hollywood.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - made for West Hollywood traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather communicate emotional journeys through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they frequently share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with just words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  West Hollywood logo but also to illustrate the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

West Hollywood logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I truly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but the client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his scorn for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to talk about it with friends and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced point of views on the value of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to design their business logo comprehend how crucial a logo is for their company so they are much more vested in the final result. Every logo job has it’s share of obstacles, however the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for West Hollywood publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most essential part of a printed book given that it is usually the very first thing a person sees in the book shop. Concerning a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will ever get to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart but it seems that in many cases 1 of the things people often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a sense of airline flight and it was definitely a winner.

West Hollywood logo design used for marketing and a tag design for Vintage Case features an old typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this custom logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in West Hollywood, style include an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo jobs considering that it seems that each and every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually love doing dentist business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters staggered in elevation to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that describes itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo layout created for a hair style studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo that carried a sense of simplicity and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious route of designing simply a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a logo design that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the concept using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is frequently the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the emphasis on the feeling that they really wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Logo design for a software program programmer the style functions and renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk operations. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the significance behind a logo design is just as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

A logo style including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly recognized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a location to sell off their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their West Hollywood logo dsign with a graphic which garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem design wasn’t really created for an West Hollywood area farm it was really designed for an investments broker, and this brand was one of a handful of that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to design a graphic that projects trust, effectiveness, and affluence.
Logo designed for making use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is similar to a popular sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked directly with the business owner to create a logo design that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
