Woodland Hills, California Logo Design

Every new Woodland Hills company realizes that they are in need of a logo, however few new business owners thoroughly understand the pivotal role their business logo will make in their becoming successful, or exactly why one business logo functions far better than another. A logo design has an immediate and lasting influence on the prosperity of a business, choose the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a company.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Woodland Hills, California businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand scrutiny, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will be legible and equally emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be lasting and should feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.
Retro logo design of a bike produced for a Woodland Hills, California coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and bistro were opening in an older section of the city and wished to cast a nostalgic tone without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled the two tasks via creating a custom logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and bacteria developed for Woodland Hills, California clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that studies the causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which works with the clinical assessment of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the only instance I recollect in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves quite literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and much more memorable.

logo layout with a leaping eco-friendly frog created for a household enjoyable center in Woodland Hills, California.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - made for Woodland Hills, California travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead project emotional journeys through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Woodland Hills logo but also to illustrate the depth in her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Woodland Hills logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design jobs that I take on I seriously savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but my client, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy truly despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members didn’t share his contempt for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get impartial assessments on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to create their logo design comprehend how essential a logo design is for their business so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo project has it’s allotment of hurdles, however the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Woodland Hills, California book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, however it really is the most vital part of a published book due to the fact that it is ordinarily the initial thing a person views in the book store. For a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will ever have to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it seems like that in many cases one of the items folks often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a sense of air travel and it was definitely a victory.

Woodland Hills logo style used for advertising and also a tag design for Vintage Case includes an archaic typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for music instruments, that looked to be vintage cases. For this custom logo design I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for everything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Woodland Hills, California, style include an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects considering that it appears that every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually love doing dental logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family not-for-profit, the logo features 4 characters staggered in height to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to illustrate how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair style studio including a script font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo which related a spirit of peace and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a concept that didn’t go the obvious path of designing merely a stylized orchid but alternatively created a logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is frequently the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the attention on the emotion that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Logo style for a software developer the layout attributes as well as legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive managing. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the owner of the business and in many cases the significance behind a company logo is just as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a place to sell off their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Woodland Hills logo design dsign with an illustration which garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has actually a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo concept wasn’t actually created for an Woodland Hills, California area farm it was in reality developed for a commodities broker, and this particular brand was one of multiple that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to generate a graphic that projects esteem, success, and wealth.

Woodland Hills Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo style function for externally encountering arrow and the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design they desired, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the flexibility to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye in the absence of recognizing where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this particular instance, I nailed a bullseye with the 1st go.

Logo design designed for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a well-known sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed quite a lot of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked directly with the proprietor to design a logo design that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
