Yorba Linda Logo Design

Each and every new Yorba Linda company understands that they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners entirely comprehend the crucial role their logo will perform in their financial success, or the reason that one logo design works far better than another. A logo has an instant and long term effect on the prosperity of a company, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Yorba Linda businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require deliberation, they can be realized in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a Yorba Linda coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening up in an older part of the city and hoped to project an old-fashioned tone without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved both tasks by means of creating a business logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria designed for Yorba Linda medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which researches the root causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which deals with the clinical assessment of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I remember where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Typically I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more appealing, more attention grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping environment-friendly frog developed for a family members enjoyable facility in Yorba Linda.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Yorba Linda traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead reveal emotional experiences by means of the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they frequently convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Yorba Linda logo but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Yorba Linda logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I really savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but the client, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family did not share his scorn for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial viewpoints on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logo designs are a strange creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo recognize how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are much more vested in the final result. Every logo design job possesses it’s portion of obstacles, but the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Yorba Linda publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, but it is the most important part of a published book because it is usually the initial thing a person sees in the book store. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever get to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it looks like that in many cases one of the traits people tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young start-up commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a spirit of air travel and it was surely a success.

Yorba Linda logo design used for advertising and also a label design for Vintage Instance includes an antiquated typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be much older cases. For this custom logo design I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Yorba Linda, layout include an arc with lines converging with it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects due to the fact that it seems that almost every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I actually love doing dental business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities staggered in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to explain precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that describes itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair style workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo that communicated an atmosphere of serenity and class for their new hair studio. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious course of making just a stylized orchid but instead designed a company logo that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is in most cases the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the importance on the feeling that they wanted to project to their customers.

Logo design for a software programmer the layout attributes as well as legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and drive managing. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection in between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a logo design is equally as important as how it serves the business it represents.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to market their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Yorba Linda logo design dsign using a graphic which captures the interest of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has actually a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem idea wasn’t really designed for an Yorba Linda area farm it was actually developed for a products broker, and this company was one of several that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to produce a brand mark that projected self-assurance, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo developed for the use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is evocative a famous sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked directly with the business owner to create a logo which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
