Castle Rock Logo Design

Every new Castle Rock organization realizes that they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly grasp the vital role their logo design can make in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo works more effectively than another. A business logo has an immediate and lasting influence on the financial success of a business, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Castle Rock businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand deliberation, they can be grasped in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will stay legible and equally emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Castle Rock coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening up in an older section of town and wanted to project an old-fashioned feel without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled both of these jobs via developing a custom logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as bacteria created for Castle Rock medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the triggers and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that deals with the clinical evaluation of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I recollect in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more appealing, more interest grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping eco-friendly frog made for a family enjoyable facility in Castle Rock.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental offices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Castle Rock travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead convey emotional experiences through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they often share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I made an effort to do something comparable to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Castle Rock logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Castle Rock logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I honestly relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however my client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his contempt for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage all of them to discuss it with friends and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial opinions on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logo designs are a strange animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their business logo comprehend how vital a logo design is for their business so they are much more vested in the final result. Every logo design job has it’s share of challenges, however the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Castle Rock book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, but it is the most necessary part of a printed book due to the fact that it is ordinarily the very first thing a person views in the book store. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will likely ever have to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it seems like that in many cases one of the traits individuals tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a sense of air travel and it was undoubtedly a success.

Castle Rock logo layout utilized for advertising and marketing and a label design for Vintage Instance includes an antiquated font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be antique cases. For this logo design I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Castle Rock, layout include an arc with lines converging via it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs considering that it seems that every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dentistry business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a household nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities staggered in height to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to illustrate how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo layout created for a hair layout studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design which related a feeling of ease and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious route of creating simply a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a business logo that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is generally the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the importance on the emotion that they wanted to project to their clients.

Logo design for a software program programmer the layout functions as well as legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

A logo style including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly knew the market was primed for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a location to market their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Castle Rock logo design dsign using an image that garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo layout has a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t really produced for an Castle Rock regional farm it was in reality created for a products broker, and this creative logo was one of multiple which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to generate a graphic that projected self-assurance, financial success, and opulence.
Logo design designed for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font that is similar to a renowned sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked directly with the owner to produce a logo which worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
