Commerce City, Colorado Logo Design

Nearly every new Commerce City venture understands that they require a logo, however few new business owners fully are aware of the vital role their organization logo can make in their success, or exactly why one logo design works better than another. A logo design has a critical and sustaining impact on the success of a business, go with the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a company.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Commerce City, Colorado companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require contemplation, they can be grasped in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will be legible and just as emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a Commerce City, Colorado coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually opening up in an old part of the area and wanted to project an old-fashioned vibe without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished each of the tasks by creating a custom logo design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide as well as germs created for Commerce City, Colorado medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that deals with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the only instance I remember where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more interesting, more attention grabbing and much more memorable.

logo layout with a leaping eco-friendly frog made for a household fun facility in Commerce City, Colorado.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a flock of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Commerce City, Colorado travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather project emotional experiences through the images they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they often tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with mere words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Commerce City logo but also to illustrate the depth in her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Commerce City logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design jobs that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however my customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy seriously hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to discuss it with colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial opinions on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their business logo understand how essential a logo is for their company so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo job possesses it’s allotment of challenges, but the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, layout for Commerce City, Colorado book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped piece of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most necessary part of a printed book because it is in most cases the very first thing a person views in the book store. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will likely ever have to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it looks like that in many occurrences one of the items consumers tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest start-up commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a sense of airline flight and it was certainly a winner.

Commerce City logo style used for marketing as well as a tag layout for Vintage Situation includes an old font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be much older cases. For this custom logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Commerce City, Colorado, layout include an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can be one of the most challenging logo design projects considering that it appears that each and every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really really love doing dentist business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family not-for-profit, the logo features 4 characters surprised in elevation to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to describe precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout created for a hair layout studio including a script font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo which related a sense of relaxation and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a concept that did not go the obvious direction of crafting simply a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a business logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is frequently the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the emphasis on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Arabian horse logo layout created for a horse ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian show equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted a one-of-a-kind logotype concept fashioned to display the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of equines. With an unique head form and higher tail posture, the Arabian is one of the very most easily recognizable equine breeds in the whole world.

Logo style for a software program developer the layout functions as well as renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in many cases the significance supporting a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

A logo layout including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly realized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to sell their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Commerce City logo dsign utilizing a graphic which garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t actually designed for an Commerce City, Colorado area farm it was really created for a commodities broker, and this business logo was one of many which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to create an identity that projected assurance, effectiveness, and opulence.

Commerce City Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo layout attribute for externally encountering arrow and the arrowheads imply that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design that they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the liberty to delve into any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without knowing where the target is. Fortunately, in this particular instance, I hit a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo design developed for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font style that is similar to a renowned sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to create a business logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
