Denver Logo Design

Each and every new Denver venture understands that they need a logo, however few new business owners fully understand the crucial role their company logo can make in their financial success, or exactly why one business logo works more effectively than another. A logo design has a critical and lasting impact on the growth of a business, select the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Denver companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require scrutiny, they can be comprehended in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will be legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Denver coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening in an old section of the area and wanted to cast an old-fashioned vibe without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled the two tasks by means of designing a logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria designed for Denver medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that researches the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which deals with the clinical evaluation of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I remember where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Usually I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping eco-friendly frog developed for a family enjoyable center in Denver.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental professionals, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and a tree - developed for Denver traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather convey emotional experiences by means of the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they frequently tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Denver logo design but also to reveal the depth to her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Denver logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I honestly relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members didn’t share his scorn for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to talk about it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get objective viewpoints on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their logo design realize how vital a logo design is for their company so they are way more invested in the outcome. Every logo job possesses it’s share of challenges, however the biggest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Denver publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender slice of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most crucial part of a published book considering that it is in most cases the very first thing a person sees in the bookstore. With respect to a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will likely ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart but it seems that in many cases one of the traits people usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a sense of flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Denver logo design made use of for advertising and marketing as well as a tag design for Vintage Situation features an old font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be much older cases. For this business logo design I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Denver, style include an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects because it seems that almost every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really love doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family members nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters surprised in elevation to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to summarize how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout produced for a hair layout studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design which carried an atmosphere of tranquility and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious path of creating just a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a business logo which suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is in most cases the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the attention on the emotion that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Arabian horse logo style created for a horse ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian show horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a one-of-a-kind custom logo concept customized to embody the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of horses. With an identifiable head form and high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the highly immediately recognizable horse breeds in the entire world.

Logo design for a software programmer the design attributes and also renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive managing. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a business logo is just as important as how it brands the business it stands for.

Develop logo layout created for a Denver indoor designer, style feature a series of red circles that converge and also change the letter O in the middle of the logo design.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly realized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to sell their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Denver business logo dsign using an illustration that garners the interest of traffic and projects an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo style has a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t actually developed for an Denver regional farm it was in reality created for a products broker, and this brand was one of a handful of which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to make a brand mark that projects self-assurance, financial success, and wealth.
Logo designed for using a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is evocative a well-known sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked closely with the business owner to create a logo which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
