Golden Logo Design

Every new Golden venture understands that they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs entirely understand the essential role their logo can play in their financial success, or why one logo design performs better than another. A logo design has an instant and lasting influence on the success of a business, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Golden companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require deliberation, they can be grasped in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a Golden coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and bistro were opening in an old section of the community and wished to visualize a nostalgic feel without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled both jobs by developing a logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria created for Golden medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that researches the root causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that deals with the clinical assessment of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I recall in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo design with a leaping eco-friendly frog developed for a family members fun center in Golden.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and a tree - designed for Golden traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead project emotional journeys by means of the photos they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they often share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Golden logo design but also to show the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Golden logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I really savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however the client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members didn’t share his contempt for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased assessments on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a strange animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their business logo recognize how crucial a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo design project possesses it’s share of challenges, however the most significant challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, layout for Golden publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin parcel of real estate to work with, however it is the most necessary part of a printed book due to the fact that it is usually the first thing a person sees in the bookstore. With respect to a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will likely ever get to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it seems like that in many occurrences one of the traits folks tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a sense of flight and it was definitely a victory.

Golden logo layout utilized for marketing and a label design for Vintage Instance includes an old-fashioned font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be antique cases. For this brand concept I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different era.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Golden, layout consist of an arc with lines converging with it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo design projects due to the fact that it appears that every single dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really enjoy doing dental care business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a household not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 personalities startled in elevation to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to illustrate specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that explains itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo design produced for a hair layout studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design that carried a feeling of calmness and class for their new hair salon. I created a design which did not go the obvious direction of designing simply a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a logo design which implied a flower in the formation of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is generally the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the main focus on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their clients.

Arabian steed logo layout developed for a horse ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian show horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo style a little dining establishment, design contains a changed script font style which hovers over a team of luxuriant lines and dots.

Logo design for a software designer the layout functions and famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance supporting a logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

This Golden logo design assignment was completed for a management coach that assists business professionals to develop into more effective at handling people, expectations, and productivity.

A logo layout including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a place to market their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Golden logo design dsign using an image which garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo style has actually a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t actually developed for an Golden regional farm it was actually created for an investments broker, and this logo was one of several which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to create a image that projected esteem, effectiveness, and wealth.
Logo designed for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript typeface that is evocative a popular sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created quite a lot of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked directly with the business owner to create a business logo which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
