Northglenn, Colorado Logo Design

Virtually every new Northglenn organization realizes that they require a logo, yet few new business owners entirely realize the key role their business logo can take in their financial success, or the reason that one logo functions better than another. A business logo has an immediate and lasting effect on the growth of a company, pick the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a business.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Northglenn, Colorado companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand scrutiny, they can be realized in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will be legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Northglenn, Colorado coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and bistro were launching in an older section of the town and hoped to visualize a nostalgic atmosphere without appearing as boring or low energy. I achieved both jobs by means of creating a company logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and germs developed for Northglenn, Colorado medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that works with the clinical examination of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I remember where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more appealing, more focus grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog designed for a family members fun facility in Northglenn, Colorado.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Northglenn, Colorado traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead convey emotional journeys through the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Northglenn logo design but also to show the depth of her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Northglenn logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I genuinely relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but my client, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his scorn for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced judgements on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they really loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo recognize how crucial a logo design is for their organization so they are way more invested in the end result. Every logo job has it’s allotment of difficulties, but the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Northglenn, Colorado publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most essential part of a published book due to the fact that it is often the first thing a person views in the book shop. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity they will likely ever get to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it seems like that in many cases 1 of the traits people often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a spirit of air travel and it was certainly a victory.

Northglenn logo design used for advertising and marketing and a label design for Vintage Case features an antiquated typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this business logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Northglenn, Colorado, layout consist of an arc with lines converging via it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects considering that it seems that almost every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental practices do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really really love doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in height to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to summarize how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair layout studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo design that carried an atmosphere of simplicity and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious path of crafting merely a stylized orchid but instead created a logo design which suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is in most cases the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the main focus on the emotion that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software application designer the layout functions and legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the meaning supporting a business logo is just as important as how it serves the enterprise it stands for.

A logo style featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly recognized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a place to market their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Northglenn logo design dsign utilizing an illustration that pulls in the attention of traffic and sends an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo concept wasn’t really developed for an Northglenn, Colorado area farm it was in reality developed for an investments broker, and this particular logo was one of many which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to develop a graphic that projects assurance, financial success, and opulence.

Northglenn Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo layout attribute for externally encountering arrowhead and the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design they desired, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the freedom to delve into any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye in the absence of recognizing where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this particular instance, I hit a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo created for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font that is similar to a famous sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the owner to create a logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
