Pueblo West Logo Design

Each and every new Pueblo West venture understands that they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs entirely recognize the pivotal role their business logo will play in their success, or exactly why one logo design works far better than another. A business logo has an instant and lasting effect on the financial success of a business, choose the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Pueblo West companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require deliberation, they can be comprehended in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Pueblo West coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and bistro were actually launching in an old part of the community and hoped to cast a vintage vibe without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I achieved both tasks by developing a business logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs created for Pueblo West clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which examines the causes and effects of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which deals with the clinical evaluation of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I recollect where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Normally I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more captivating, more interest grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo style with a jumping environment-friendly frog created for a household enjoyable center in Pueblo West.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental offices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Pueblo West travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead reveal emotional experiences by means of the photos they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they often tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Pueblo West logo design but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Pueblo West logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design jobs that I take on I seriously enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his contempt for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to share it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get honest viewpoints on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they really liked the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their business logo understand how vital a logo is for their company so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo job has it’s share of challenges, but the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Pueblo West book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most important part of a published book since it is in most cases the primary thing a person sees in the book store. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will likely ever have to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems like that in many occurrences one of the items folks tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest startup commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a good sense of air travel and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Pueblo West logo layout made use of for marketing as well as a tag layout for Vintage Situation includes an archaic font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be older cases. For this brand concept I sought to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Pueblo West, style include an arc with lines converging via it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can be one of the most difficult logo projects due to the fact that it seems that virtually every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually love doing dentist logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities surprised in elevation to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to summarize exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo design created for a hair design studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo which conveyed a spirit of serenity and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious direction of crafting just a stylized orchid but instead designed a logo design which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is oftentimes the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the attention on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Logo design for a software application developer the style functions as well as legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it meant something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to sell their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Pueblo West logo dsign with an image that grabs the interest of traffic and sends an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t really designed for an Pueblo West regional farm it was really devised for a commodities broker, and this particular business logo was one of several that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to create a graphic that projected confidence, effectiveness, and affluence.
Logo design created for the use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is reminiscent of a well-known sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to develop a logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
