Wheat Ridge Logo Design

Every new Wheat Ridge organization realizes that they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly recognize the essential role their logo will play in their success, or the reason that one logo works better than another. A logo design has a critical and long-term impact on the growth of a company, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Wheat Ridge companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require scrutiny, they can be realized in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will be legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle created for a Wheat Ridge coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening in an old part of the community and really wanted to project an old-fashioned feel without coming across as boring or low energy. I achieved the two jobs via designing a business logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria made for Wheat Ridge medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which investigates the causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which works with the laboratory assessment of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the only instance I remember in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Typically I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more interesting, more interest grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping green frog made for a family members enjoyable center in Wheat Ridge.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Wheat Ridge traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather convey emotional experiences through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they often convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with just words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Wheat Ridge logo design but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Wheat Ridge logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I really take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however the client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his contempt for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get honest point of views on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they adored the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their business logo realize how crucial a logo design is for their business so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo job has it’s portion of hurdles, but the most significant challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Wheat Ridge book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, but it is the most necessary part of a published book due to the fact that it is in most cases the first thing a person views in the book store. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will likely ever have to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it looks like that in many cases one of the things individuals tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a feeling of air travel and it was certainly a success.

Wheat Ridge logo layout utilized for advertising and marketing as well as a label style for Vintage Instance includes an old font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be older cases. For this logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old style feel to it and could be used for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Wheat Ridge, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can be one of the most difficult logo jobs because it appears that virtually every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually love doing dental care business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family members nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style produced for a hair design workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo design which communicated a sense of peace and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a concept that did not go the obvious path of making just a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a logo which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is in most cases the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the main focus on the emotion that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Arabian equine logo design created for a steed cattle ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a distinct custom logo concept customized to display the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of horses. With a different head form and high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the highly quite easily recognizable horse lineages in the whole world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo layout a small restaurant, design includes a changed manuscript font which floats over a team of elaborate lines and also dots.

Logo style for a software program programmer the layout functions and also legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a logo design is just as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

Evolve logo layout developed for a Wheat Ridge interior developer, layout feature a series of red circles that converge and also replace the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

A logo design including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to market their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Wheat Ridge logo design dsign along with an image that captures the interest of traffic and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has actually a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t really composed for an Wheat Ridge regional farm it was in reality developed for a commodities broker, and this logo design was one of a handful of that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to generate a brand mark that projects self-confidence, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo design developed for using a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is reminiscent of a famous sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked closely with the business owner to create a business logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
