TIPS FOR CHOOSING THE BEST LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A business logo is an investment in both your time and your money so anytime a design firm offers a money back guarantee try to bear in mind that they can’t refund the amount of time you invest which is eminently more precious than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Some design firms talk a good game but inevitably a design firm can only be evaluated from the quality of their portfolio, if the work in their design portfolio doesn’t contain real life examples odds are they will not be able to produce a premium logo design.

VISION

A logo’s aim is to be understood and be unforgettable, and it’s goal is to echo your unique vision for your business. If a designer is not focused on fulfilling your vision, the thing they are actually focused on is how fast they can get paid.

Mansfield City LOGO DESIGN

For over two decades ImageCo has been helping entrepreneurs develop notable brand identities. We have performed branding work for farmers, educational institutions, diamond miners, wedding singers, coffee roasters, retailers, and just about every other kind of business you can think of. What makes us unique compared to typical graphic designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we approach every design as though it will be used as an electric sign. As a result of our sign first technique our brand identity designs can, and have been used in everything from fashion labels to neon signs. Our sign first approach ensures that our logo designs are just as successful whether they are used in television commercials or website applications, they are consistently recognizable, understood, and remembered no matter of size or function.

American Made ★ Design

Something which seriously sets ImageCo apart from many of the design agencies that you probably have stumbled upon in Google’s search results, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that absolutely every design project we are hired to perform, we perform ourselves. No matter the type of project we accept, brand identity design, web site, trade show exhibition, or electrical sign, we do not, and never will farm-out our customer’s projects to 3rd parties located outside the United States. Whenever you call us at 1-855-IMAGECO the person that picks up the telephone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a broker that increases the price of your design project and determines the terms of how you and I conduct business.

ASPECTS OF AN EFFECTIVE LOGO DESIGN

It’s likely that every new Mansfield City business understands that they probably need a logo, but few start ups entirely grasp the vital role their organization’s logo will make in their financial success, or the reason that one logo works far better than another. A logo has an instant and long-term impact on the viability of a business, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Mansfield City companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not need scrutiny, they can be comprehended in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from clothing labels to store signs a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel personal, and they are suitable for the product or business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be lasting and should feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

understand your brand

Brand – It is both a verb and also a noun, it’s an identifying mark as well as the act of marking something to make sure that it can be distinguished, its genesis comes from the mark branded onto animals. Nowadays a brand indicates pretty much anything with an intention, regardless if it be profit or politics, a brand is an inherent aspect of specifying the value of a specific thing in the public’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like marketing and advertising’s attractive sister, they are all from the very same family, the difference being that advertising and marketing are about making a promise and branding’s objective is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity competition aimed at a target audience, it’s goal is to create a mental image that the audience can identify with.

Brand Image – An image planted and nurtured through advertising and marketing and also identity design. When somebody says the names Porsche or Mustang what we consider is their brand image, it’s an image that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of an automobile with 4 wheels that can deliver us from point A to point B, the the mental image we have (or at least I have) is of freedom, beauty, of something dangerous and sexy . That is brand image and that is what makes people want those products. Brand image is why individuals purchase specific brands, from Pepsi to Coke Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that we can identify with.

Branding Companies – If you look back at the beginning of the majority of branding companies you’ll find that they are quite often re-branded advertising firms. When someone states they are in advertising and marketing most individuals will likely have a preconceived notion about what they do. But when somebody says “I’m in branding”… it just seems more impressive, perhaps it’s due to the fact that many people don’t know what it indicates to be in branding so it comes off as mysterious and even attractive.

Brand Identity – Is an inclusive term that explains the visual components of a product or agency that affect view points. This primarily includes the name, the logo design, the product packaging, the colors used but can likewise consist of audio, lights, texture, signage, just about anything that can be seen, touched or heard are part of a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designers
– A brand identity designer is a designer that focuses on a type of visual design which helps form the perception of a company, a product or a business. Brand identity designers produce logo designs, signage designs, packaging, as well as collateral products such as business cards, stationery, and also brochures. Some visual designers also build websites and user interfaces. The essential duty of a brand identity designer is to create the visual cues and an emotional tone with the objective of influencing actions, results as well as understandings.

select SIGNS & LOGOS

Retro logo style of a bicycle produced for a Mansfield City coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually launching in an older part of the area and wished to cast a vintage atmosphere without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved each of the jobs via developing a custom logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and germs created for Mansfield City clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that works with the clinical assessment of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I recollect in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more appealing, more interest grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo design with a jumping green frog created for a family enjoyable facility in Mansfield City.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental offices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Mansfield City traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but rather convey emotional journeys by means of the photos they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they often convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Mansfield City logo but also to illustrate the depth in her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Mansfield City logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design jobs that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family did not share his aversion for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to discuss it with friends and family as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced point of views on the value of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo understand how essential a logo design is for their organization so they are much more invested in the final result. Every logo project has it’s share of hurdles, but the greatest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Mansfield City publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most crucial part of a printed book given that it is usually the very first thing a person sees in the bookstore. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will ever have to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it seems like that in many instances 1 of the things consumers tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a spirit of airline flight and it was certainly a success.

Mansfield City logo style utilized for advertising as well as a tag style for Vintage Case includes an old typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for music instruments, that looked to be vintage cases. For this custom logo design I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Mansfield City, design include an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo design projects considering that it appears that almost every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really enjoy doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities surprised in elevation to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to explain exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo layout developed for a Mansfield City hair style studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo which carried a feeling of simplicity and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious course of making simply a stylized orchid but rather designed a logo design which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is generally the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the attention on the feeling that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Arabian horse logo design created for an equine ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian program horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a unique custom logo concept styled to illustrate the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of equines. By having a distinctive head shape and very high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most quite easily recognizable equine lineages in the world.

Las Cafe, A Mansfield City restaurant logo layout a small dining establishment, style includes a changed script typeface which floats above a team of ornate lines and also dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo layout a little dining establishment, design consists of a customized script font style which hovers over a team of ornate lines and also dots.

Logo style for a software program designer the design features and legendary Mansfield City element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the owner of the company and in many cases the significance supporting a logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

Progress logo design developed for a Mansfield Cityinterior designer, style feature a collection of red circles that intersect as well as replace the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Mansfield City interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is a person who plans, explores, coordinates, and manages such projects. Interior design is a diverse occupation that consists of conceptual development, area planning, site inspections, programming, analysis, communicating with the stakeholders of a project, building and construction management, and implementation of the design.

logo design provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Mansfield City, the personalities for letter V as well as A in center of the word progressed have been modified to link directly into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Mansfield City logo design assignment was undertaken for a management coach that helps business professionals to become more effective at supervising people, expectations, and productivity.

A Mansfield City business logo layout including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to sell off their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts.

I designed their Mansfield City logo design design along with an image that captures the attention of vehicles and sends an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.

Logo design MQ ranches, this Mansfield City company logo design has actually an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t really designed for an Mansfield City area farm it was actually designed for an investments broker, and this particular creative logo was one of many that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to produce a image that projects trust, financial success, and affluence.

Mansfield City Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo design feature for outwardly facing arrowhead as well as the arrowheads imply that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what type of logo design that they desired, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the opportunity to discover any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye without realizing where the target is. Fortunately, in this instance, I nailed a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo design created for the use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is similar to a well-known Mansfield City sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created loads of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked directly with the owner to produce a logo design which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
