North Haven Logo Design

Each and every new North Haven business understands that they are in need of a logo, yet few entrepreneurs thoroughly recognize the key role their company logo can play in their financial success, or precisely why one business logo works better than another. A business logo has an instant and long-term effect on the success of a company, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help North Haven companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require deliberation, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a North Haven coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and bistro were launching in an old section of town and wished to project a nostalgic vibe without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled both of these jobs via developing a company logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria made for North Haven clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which investigates the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare which works with the laboratory assessment of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the only instance I remember where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents very literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more interesting, more interest grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo layout with a jumping environment-friendly frog created for a household fun facility in North Haven.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - created for North Haven traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather project emotional experiences through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  North Haven logo but also to show the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

North Haven logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but the customer, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family did not share his scorn for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral viewpoints on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their business logo comprehend how vital a logo design is for their business so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo design job possesses it’s share of obstacles, however the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, layout for North Haven book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most essential part of a published book given that it is ordinarily the very first thing a person views in the book shop. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will ever get to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart but it seems that in many instances 1 of the aspects consumers tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest start-up commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a feeling of air travel and it was definitely a winner.

North Haven logo layout used for advertising and also a tag layout for Vintage Instance features an old typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be antique cases. For this brand design I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be used for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in North Haven, layout include an arc with lines converging with it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects due to the fact that it appears that almost every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dentistry business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters startled in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to describe precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design developed for a hair design studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a company logo which related a spirit of peace and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which didn’t go the obvious direction of designing simply a stylized orchid but rather created a business logo that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is usually the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the focus on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Arabian horse logo style produced for a steed ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a one-of-a-kind logotype concept styled to epitomize the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of equines. By having an unique head shape and higher tail posture, the Arabian is one of the most quite easily recognizable equine breeds in the whole world.

Logo style for a software program developer the style features as well as iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism behind a logo design is just as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular North Haven logo design project was completed for a management consultant that aids business leaders to develop into more effective at handling people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly realized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a place to sell their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their North Haven business logo dsign along with an illustration that seizes the attention of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo style has actually an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t actually designed for an North Haven area farm it was in reality created for a commodities broker, and this particular logo design was one of a handful of which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to make a graphic that projected self-confidence, effectiveness, and affluence.
Logo designed for making use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is similar to a renowned sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted dozens of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to produce a logo design that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
