South Windsor, Connecticut Logo Design

Every new South Windsor business person understands that they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs thoroughly recognize the crucial role their logo will play in their becoming successful, or why one business logo functions more effectively than another. A business logo has an instant and long term impact on the viability of a company, pick the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of an organization.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help South Windsor, Connecticut businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand scrutiny, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from labels to posters a scalable logo design will be legible and just as emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be timeless and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.
Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a South Windsor, Connecticut coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and bistro were launching in an old part of the community and hoped to impart a retro vibe without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled each of the tasks by means of developing a custom logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is an ageless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and germs developed for South Windsor, Connecticut clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare which deals with the laboratory examination of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I recollect in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents very literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more captivating, more interest grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog created for a family members fun center in South Windsor, Connecticut.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for South Windsor, Connecticut travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead project emotional journeys by means of the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they oftentimes tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I tried to do something the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  South Windsor logo design but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

South Windsor logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design jobs that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but the customer, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his aversion for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to discuss it with friends and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial assessments on the value of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their business logo understand how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo project possesses it’s allotment of challenges, however the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for South Windsor, Connecticut publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most essential part of a published book since it is in most cases the primary thing a person sees in the book shop. With respect to a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will likely ever get to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems like that in many cases one of the items people tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a feeling of air travel and it was definitely a winner.

South Windsor logo design used for advertising and a tag style for Vintage Instance features an old-fashioned typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be older cases. For this custom logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a website to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another generation.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in South Windsor, Connecticut, layout include an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it appears that virtually every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dental care business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a household not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities surprised in height to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to describe specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout produced for a hair style workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a company logo which carried an atmosphere of contentment and connection for their new hair studio. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious direction of designing simply a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo design that suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is generally the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the main focus on the feeling that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software developer the layout attributes as well as legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive management. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the significance behind a business logo is just as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly understood the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to market their pre-owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their South Windsor business logo dsign using an illustration which grabs the interest of vehicles and sends an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo layout has an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem idea wasn’t actually created for an South Windsor, Connecticut area farm it was actually designed for an investments broker, and this particular creative logo was one of several which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to make a graphic that projected self-confidence, effectiveness, and prosperity.

South Windsor Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo style feature for externally facing arrowhead and the arrowheads imply that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design they wanted, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the opportunity to explore any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye in the absence of knowing where the target is. Thankfully, in this particular case, I nailed a bullseye with the very first shot.

Logo developed for the use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is evocative a well-known sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed quite a lot of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked closely with the business owner to design a business logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
