Trumbull Logo Design

Nearly every new Trumbull venture realizes that they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs thoroughly realize the key role their company logo will play in their becoming successful, or why one logo functions far better than another. A company logo has an immediate and sustaining impact on the growth of a business, select the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Trumbull businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require deliberation, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike created for a Trumbull coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening up in an old part of the area and wished to cast a nostalgic feel without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished the two jobs by creating a company logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs made for Trumbull clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine that deals with the laboratory evaluation of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I call to mind where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more attention grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo style with a leaping green frog made for a family fun facility in Trumbull.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Trumbull traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead convey emotional journeys by means of the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they often tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Trumbull logo but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Trumbull logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I really enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however the client, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his contempt for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get objective opinions on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their business logo recognize how crucial a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo design project has it’s portion of obstacles, however the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Trumbull book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most essential part of a published book given that it is in most cases the very first thing a person views in the book shop. With regard to a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will likely ever get to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the aspects consumers usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a spirit of air travel and it was certainly a success.

Trumbull logo style utilized for advertising and marketing and also a label style for Vintage Situation features an old-fashioned font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be much older cases. For this custom logo design I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Trumbull, style include an arc with lines intersecting with it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs considering that it seems that every single dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I actually love doing dentistry business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters surprised in elevation to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to explain precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo design produced for a hair design studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo which communicated a spirit of ease and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious path of crafting just a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a business logo which implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is in most cases the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the importance on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software program designer the layout attributes and also renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive managing. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it meant something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism supporting a company logo is just as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly realized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a place to market their previously owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Trumbull logo design dsign with a graphic which garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo style has actually a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo concept wasn’t actually produced for an Trumbull regional farm it was really created for an investments broker, and this particular logo was one of a handful of which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to develop a image that projected confidence, financial success, and wealth.
Logo design created for the use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font style that is reminiscent of a famous sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked directly with the owner to design a business logo which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
