West Haven, Connecticut Logo Design

Each and every new West Haven venture realizes that they require a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly grasp the key role their logo design will take in their success, or precisely why one logo design functions far better than another. A company logo has an immediate and lasting impact on the financial success of a business, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of an organization.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help West Haven, Connecticut companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand contemplation, they can be grasped in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and just as emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo design of a bike produced for a West Haven, Connecticut coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening up in an old part of the town and really wanted to project an old-fashioned vibe without coming across as boring or low energy. I achieved each of the tasks via creating a symbol design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide as well as bacteria made for West Haven, Connecticut medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that examines the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which works with the laboratory assessment of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Generally I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more attention grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog developed for a family members fun facility in West Haven, Connecticut.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental professionals, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - made for West Haven, Connecticut travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead project emotional experiences through the images they record. The idea behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they oftentimes convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  West Haven logo but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

West Haven logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design jobs that I take on I honestly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his contempt for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to talk about it with friends and family as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get impartial opinions on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their business logo recognize how vital a logo is for their organization so they are much more invested in the final result. Every logo design job has it’s share of difficulties, however the biggest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for West Haven, Connecticut book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, however it really is the most necessary part of a printed book since it is ordinarily the initial thing a person sees in the book store. Regarding a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will likely ever get to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart nevertheless it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the items folks usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a feeling of airline flight and it was definitely a victory.

West Haven logo style made use of for advertising and marketing and a label style for Vintage Situation includes an archaic typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for music instruments, that looked to be vintage cases. For this custom logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another generation.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in West Haven, Connecticut, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs considering that it appears that almost every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I actually really love doing dental care business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters startled in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to describe precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo design created for a hair style workshop including a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo that related an atmosphere of tranquility and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious direction of designing just a stylized orchid but instead delivered a business logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is usually the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the focus on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Arabian equine logo style developed for a steed cattle ranch that specializes in reproducing Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software program developer the layout functions and renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection in between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance behind a business logo is just as important as how it brands the business it represents.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to sell their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their West Haven logo dsign utilizing a graphic that garners the interest of traffic and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo style has actually an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand idea wasn’t actually designed for an West Haven, Connecticut area farm it was really created for a products broker, and this particular brand was one of a handful of which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to make a image that projects self-assurance, financial success, and prosperity.

West Haven Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo style feature for outwardly facing arrow as well as the arrowheads imply that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design that they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the opportunity to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye in the absence of understanding where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this case, I struck a bullseye with the very first try.

Logo designed for using a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font that is reminiscent of a famous sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed loads of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the business owner to develop a business logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
