Deer Valley Logo Design

Every new Deer Valley venture understands that they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs fully grasp the pivotal role their business logo will make in their financial success, or precisely why one logo design functions far better than another. A logo has a critical and lasting influence on the prosperity of a company, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Deer Valley companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand scrutiny, they can be comprehended in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a Deer Valley coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening in an old section of the community and really wanted to project a vintage vibe without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved each of the tasks by means of developing a company logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also germs created for Deer Valley medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which studies the root causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the laboratory examination of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Generally I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents very literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more interesting, more interest grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo style with a jumping green frog made for a family fun center in Deer Valley.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Deer Valley traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather convey emotional journeys through the pictures they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they often tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Deer Valley logo design but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Deer Valley logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design jobs that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but my client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family did not share his aversion for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get honest point of views on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really liked the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a strange creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to create their logo understand how vital a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo job has it’s share of challenges, however the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, design for Deer Valley book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow slice of real estate to work with, however it is the most vital part of a published book considering that it is ordinarily the initial thing a person sees in the bookstore. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity they will ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it looks like that in many cases one of the items consumers tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a sense of flight and it was definitely a winner.

Deer Valley logo style used for marketing and a label design for Vintage Situation includes an old typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be antique cases. For this logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another generation.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Deer Valley, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most challenging logo projects because it appears that every single dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually love doing dental logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a household not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities staggered in height to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain specifically how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a hair layout workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo which projected a spirit of tranquility and connection for their new hair salon. I created a design that did not go the obvious direction of crafting merely a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a company logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is more often than not the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the main focus on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Logo style for a software programmer the layout functions as well as legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk managing. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the owner of the business and in many cases the substance supporting a business logo is just as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly knew the market was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to sell off their previously owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Deer Valley logo dsign with a graphic which garners the attention of traffic and projects an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t really designed for an Deer Valley area farm it was in reality designed for a commodities broker, and this particular brand was one of several which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to create a brand mark that projects esteem, financial success, and affluence.
Logo design created for using a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is evocative a well-known sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to produce a logo design that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
