El Mirage Logo Design

Every new El Mirage company knows they need a logo, yet few new business owners fully comprehend the essential role their logo design can make in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo design functions far better than another. A logo has an immediate and long term impact on the growth of a business, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help El Mirage businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require deliberation, they can be understood in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a El Mirage coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually launching in an older part of the area and wished to project a nostalgic atmosphere without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled both jobs by means of developing a trademark design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as bacteria designed for El Mirage medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that investigates the causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that deals with the clinical evaluation of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recall in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves quite literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more captivating, more interest grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog developed for a household fun center in El Mirage.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - made for El Mirage traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead communicate emotional journeys through the images they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with mere words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  El Mirage logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

El Mirage logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I honestly savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but my customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his aversion for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced viewpoints on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo understand how vital a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the final result. Every logo design job has it’s allotment of hurdles, but the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, style for El Mirage publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, but it really is the most crucial part of a printed book because it is ordinarily the initial thing a person views in the book shop. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will ever get to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it seems like that in many instances 1 of the things consumers usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a sense of airline flight and it was surely a victory.

El Mirage logo style utilized for advertising and marketing as well as a label design for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be antique cases. For this business logo design I strove to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in El Mirage, design consist of an arc with lines converging through it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can be one of the most difficult logo design jobs due to the fact that it seems that virtually every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dental care logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a household nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters surprised in height to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to describe exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo design developed for a hair design workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo which communicated a spirit of calmness and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a concept that did not go the obvious path of designing just a stylized orchid but instead delivered a company logo that implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is in most cases the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the importance on the emotion that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Arabian horse logo layout developed for a steed ranch that specializes in reproducing Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Coffee shop logo layout a tiny dining establishment, design includes a changed script font which hovers over a team of ornate lines as well as dots.

Logo design for a software program programmer the style attributes and also famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance behind a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it stands for.

Advance logo layout produced for a El Mirage indoor designer, layout function a series of red circles that intersect and change the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This El Mirage logo design project was performed for a management guide that assists business leaders to become more successful at managing people, expectations, and productivity.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a spot to market their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their El Mirage logo dsign with a graphic that captures the interest of vehicles and sends an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand design wasn’t actually developed for an El Mirage regional farm it was really designed for an investments broker, and this creative logo was one of many that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to design an identity that projected esteem, financial success, and luxury.
Logo created for making use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font style that is similar to a popular sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked directly with the owner to produce a logo design which worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
