Coconut Grove Logo Design

Each and every new Coconut Grove organization knows they require a logo, but few new business owners fully comprehend the vital role their organization logo will perform in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo design performs better than another. A business logo has an immediate and long term influence on the prosperity of a business, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Coconut Grove businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand consideration, they can be realized in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will be legible and just as emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a Coconut Grove coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and bistro were opening up in an old section of the city and really wanted to project a retro tone without appearing as boring or low energy. I fulfilled both tasks by designing a custom logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and also bacteria made for Coconut Grove clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that investigates the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare which deals with the laboratory assessment of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the sole instance I recollect in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and more memorable.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog created for a family fun center in Coconut Grove.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Coconut Grove traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather project emotional journeys through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something comparable to this logo by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Coconut Grove logo but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Coconut Grove logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I honestly savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however my client, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his scorn for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get honest viewpoints on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their business logo recognize how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo design project possesses it’s share of obstacles, however the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, layout for Coconut Grove book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, but it is the most crucial part of a published book because it is often the primary thing a person views in the bookstore. For a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will likely ever get to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it seems like that in many cases 1 of the aspects individuals tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a good sense of air travel and it was certainly a success.

Coconut Grove logo design made use of for advertising and also a label style for Vintage Situation features an old-fashioned typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be vintage cases. For this business logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different generation.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Coconut Grove, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo design jobs considering that it seems that every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 personalities surprised in elevation to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to summarize how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo layout developed for a hair style studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a company logo which communicated a feeling of simplicity and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept which didn’t go the obvious route of crafting just a stylized orchid but instead created a company logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is usually the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the importance on the feeling that they really wanted to forecast to their clients.

Arabian steed logo style developed for an equine cattle ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian show horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed an original business logo concept fashioned to illustrate the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of horses. By having a different head form and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the highly easily identifiable horse lineages in the entire world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo layout a tiny dining establishment, style contains a changed manuscript typeface which hovers above a group of ornate lines as well as dots.

Logo style for a software designer the style attributes as well as legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism supporting a logo is just as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

Progress logo design created for a Coconut Grove interior designer, design attribute a series of red circles that converge and also replace the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

logo style done for Advanced Management Solutions, the characters for letter V and A in center of the word advanced have been modified to tie directly into words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Coconut Grove logo design assignment was carried out for a leadership expert that enables business leaders to become more successful at overseeing people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo layout including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to sell their previously owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Coconut Grove business logo dsign using an image that garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo style has actually an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo idea wasn’t actually designed for an Coconut Grove area farm it was really devised for a products broker, and this particular trademark was one of several that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to design a brand mark that projects self-assurance, financial success, and luxury.
Logo created for making use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is similar to a popular sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to create a logo which worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
