STRATEGIES ON IDENTIFYING THE BEST LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A business logo is an investment in both your time and your money so anytime a design firm offers a money back guarantee try to bear in mind that they can’t reimburse the amount of time you invest which is much more valuable than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Many design firms talk a good game but inevitably a designer can only be evaluated from the quality of their design work, if the work in their portfolio doesn’t contain real world examples chances are they will not be able to deliver a quality logo design.

VISION

A logo’s goal is to be understood and be unforgettable, and it’s objective is to echo your personal vision for your organization. If a logo designer is not focused on actualizing your vision, the thing they are actually focused on is how fast they will get paid.

Country Club LOGO DESIGN

For over 2 decades ImageCo has been helping businesses of all kinds grow notable brands. We’ve performed brand identity design work for ranchers, universities, diamond miners, party planners, coffee roasters, retail stores, and just about every other kind of business you can envision. What makes us different compared to traditional designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we undertake every branding project as if it will be used as an electric sign. As a result of our sign first strategy our identity designs can, and have been employed in everything from clothing labels to neon signs. Our sign first method insures that our logo designs are equally successful whether they are used in TV commercials or web applications, they are consistently identifiable, comprehended, and always remembered irrespective of scale or function.

American Made ★ Design

The thing that seriously sets ImageCo apart from many of the design companies that you might have stumbled upon online, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that each and every project we are hired to perform, we perform ourselves. No matter the type of design project we undertake, logo design, business website, trade show exhibit, or electrical sign, we do not, and never will job out our client’s work to 3rd parties based outside the United States. When you call us at 1-855-IMAGECO the party that picks up the phone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a middleman that marks up the cost of your project and determines the terms of how we do business.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A POWERFUL LOGO DESIGN

It’s likely that every new Country Club organization realizes that they need a logo, but few start-ups entirely understand the vital role their organization’s logo can make in their financial success, or exactly why one logo works more effectively than another. A logo has a critical and long-term influence on the growth of a business, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Country Club businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require consideration, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from clothing labels to posters a scalable logo will be legible and equally emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel exclusive, and they are suitable for the item or company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be enduring and should feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

understand your brand

Brand – It is both a verb and also a noun, it’s an identifying mark and also the act of denoting something to ensure that it could be recognized, its foundation originates from the brand branded onto livestock. Today a brand signifies practically anything with an intention, regardless of whether it be earnings or government agencies, a brand is an innate aspect of specifying the worth of something in the consumer’s mind.

Branding – Is sort of like marketing and advertising’s attractive cousin, they are each from the same family, the distinction being that marketing and advertising have to do with making a promise and branding’s goal is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity competition targeted at a target market, it’s goal is to develop an image that the target market will likely connect to.

Brand Image – An image planted and nurtured by advertising and marketing and identity design. When somebody says the brand names Ferrari or Corvette what we think of is their brand image, it’s an image that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a car with 4 wheels that can move us from point A to point B, the the mental image we have (or at least I have) is of freedom, elegance, of something dangerous and unique . That is brand image and brand image is what makes people buy those products. Brand image is why people acquire most things, from Nike to Adidas Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that we can relate to.

Branding Firms – If you reflect on the origin of a lot of branding companies you’ll discover that they are quite often re-branded advertising and marketing agencies. When a person says they are in advertising and marketing the majority of people will likely have an idea about the type of work they do anything that can be seen, felt or heard belong to a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designers
– A brand identity designer is a designer that concentrates on a type of visual design which helps shape the perception of a firm, a product or a business. Brand identity designers produce logo designs, signage designs, packaging, as well as collateral products such as cards, stationery, and brochures. Some visual designers also design sites and also user interfaces. The important duty of a brand identity designer is to establish the visual cues and a psychological tone with the objective of affecting actions, outcomes and also understandings.

Featured signs/logos

Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a Country Club coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening up in an older section of the city and wished to visualize a vintage atmosphere without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished each of the tasks via creating a company logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs developed for Country Club medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which researches the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that works with the clinical evaluation of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I call to mind in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Generally I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more interesting, more focus grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo style with a leaping eco-friendly frog made for a family enjoyable facility in Country Club.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Country Club traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather reveal emotional journeys by means of the photos they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they often share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Country Club logo but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Country Club logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design jobs that I take on I really take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however my client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his scorn for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral point of views on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they adored the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo design comprehend how important a logo design is for their business so they are way more invested in the outcome. Every logo design job possesses it’s allotment of challenges, however the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Country Club publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most necessary part of a printed book given that it is often the initial thing a person sees in the bookstore. For a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will likely ever have to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it looks like that in many instances one of the aspects individuals often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a good sense of flight and it was definitely a victory.

Country Club logo design utilized for advertising and a tag design for Vintage Situation features an old-fashioned font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be vintage cases. For this brand concept I tried to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Country Club, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs because it seems that each and every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dentists do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually love doing dentist logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family members not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities staggered in elevation to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to describe precisely how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design developed for a Country Club hair layout workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo that related a spirit of peace and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a concept which did not go the obvious direction of crafting merely a stylized orchid but rather delivered a logo design that suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is more often than not the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the importance on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Arabian horse logo design developed for a horse ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian show equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted a unique custom logo concept fashioned to exemplify the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of horses. By having a distinctive head form and very high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the highly easily identifiable horse types in the whole world.

Las Cafe, A Country Club restaurant logo design a small restaurant, design contains a modified script typeface which hovers above a group of ornate lines and also dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo design a small restaurant, style consists of a modified manuscript font which floats above a group of ornate lines and also dots.

Logo layout for a software developer the design attributes and iconic Country Club element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive management. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism behind a logo design is just as important as how it serves the business it represents.

Progress logo design produced for a Country Clubindoor developer, design feature a series of red circles that intersect and also change the letter O in the center of the logo style.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Country Club interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is someone who organizes, investigates, collaborates, and oversees such projects. Interior design is a multifaceted profession that consists of conceptual development, area planning, location evaluations, programming, research study, interacting with the stakeholders of a project, building and construction supervision, and execution of the design.

logo layout provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Country Club, the characters for letter V and A in center of the word advanced have been modified to connect directly right into words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Country Club logo design job was undertaken for a leadership guide that enables business leaders to develop into more efficient at handling people, expectations, and productivity.

A Country Club business logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly understood the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a place to market their pre-owned products to other sports enthusiasts.

I created their Country Club business logo design utilizing an illustration which garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.

Logo style MQ ranches, this Country Club company logo design has actually an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo idea wasn’t actually composed for an Country Club regional farm it was actually devised for a products broker, and this particular company logo was one of multiple that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to produce a graphic that projects esteem, financial success, and wealth.

Country Club Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo design attribute for ostensibly encountering arrowhead and also the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what kind of logo design they desired, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the liberty to delve into any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without knowing where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this case, I hit a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo design developed for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is similar to a famous Country Club sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed quite a lot of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked directly with the proprietor to create a logo design that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
