Cutler Bay, Florida Logo Design

Every new Cutler Bay organization understands that they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly understand the vital role their logo can make in their becoming successful, or precisely why one logo functions better than another. A business logo has an immediate and long-term influence on the viability of a company, select the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a company.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Cutler Bay, Florida businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require consideration, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from labels to posters a scalable business logo will remain legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be lasting and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.
Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Cutler Bay, Florida coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening up in an old part of the city and wanted to cast a nostalgic atmosphere without appearing as boring or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs by means of creating a custom logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and also germs designed for Cutler Bay, Florida medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the field of medicine which works with the clinical examination of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I recollect where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more appealing, more attention grabbing and much more memorable.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog created for a family fun center in Cutler Bay, Florida.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Cutler Bay, Florida travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche sector because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather project emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they often share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with mere words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Cutler Bay logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Cutler Bay logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I seriously savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but my client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his contempt for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased assessments on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their business logo comprehend how essential a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo job possesses it’s share of challenges, however the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Cutler Bay, Florida book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, but it is the most necessary part of a printed book because it is often the first thing a person sees in the book store. For a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity they will ever have to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it seems that in many occurrences one of the things folks often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small new venture commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a spirit of flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Cutler Bay logo design made use of for marketing and also a tag layout for Vintage Case features an antiquated font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be much older cases. For this business logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different generation.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Cutler Bay, Florida, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it seems that almost every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dental care business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters startled in height to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to illustrate exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo style created for a hair style studio featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo which carried a spirit of calmness and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious course of crafting merely a stylized orchid but rather delivered a logo design which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is more often than not the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the attention on the emotion that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Logo style for a software application developer the layout features and legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it represented something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the meaning supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the company it represents.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a location to sell off their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Cutler Bay logo dsign with an image which garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo layout has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t really created for an Cutler Bay, Florida area farm it was really created for an investments broker, and this particular brand was one of a handful of which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to make a graphic that projects self-assurance, effectiveness, and prosperity.

Cutler Bay Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo layout attribute for ostensibly facing arrowhead as well as the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design they preferred, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the flexibility to explore any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye in the absence of recognizing where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this particular case, I struck a bullseye with the very first shot.

Logo design made for making use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font style that is evocative a famous sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created loads of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked directly with the business owner to create a logo which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
