Cutler Bay Logo Design

Virtually every new Cutler Bay venture understands that they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly grasp the crucial role their organization logo can play in their financial success, or the reason that one logo design performs better than another. A logo has an immediate and sustaining effect on the growth of a company, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Cutler Bay companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require consideration, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will be legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a Cutler Bay coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening up in an older part of the city and wished to visualize a nostalgic tone without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished each of the tasks by designing a business logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria created for Cutler Bay clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that deals with the laboratory examination of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I call to mind where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Usually I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more attention grabbing and even more memorable.

logo design with a leaping environment-friendly frog designed for a household enjoyable facility in Cutler Bay.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Cutler Bay travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead project emotional journeys by means of the photos they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they frequently share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something similar to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Cutler Bay logo design but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Cutler Bay logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his contempt for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage all of them to talk about it with friends and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased viewpoints on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they adored the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their business logo comprehend how important a logo is for their business so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo job has it’s share of obstacles, but the greatest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Cutler Bay book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most necessary part of a printed book due to the fact that it is ordinarily the primary thing a person sees in the book store. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it seems like that in many cases one of the traits individuals tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a spirit of airline flight and it was definitely a winner.

Cutler Bay logo design utilized for advertising and also a tag layout for Vintage Case features an antiquated font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be vintage cases. For this brand design I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different generation.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Cutler Bay, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to imply metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can be one of the most difficult logo design projects considering that it appears that almost every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dentists do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually love doing dentistry business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities surprised in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the families in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to summarize exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo style developed for a hair layout studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo which conveyed a spirit of calmness and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious course of crafting simply a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a logo which implied a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is usually the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the main focus on the perception that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Logo layout for a software program developer the layout attributes as well as famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the significance behind a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly knew the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to market their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Cutler Bay logo dsign along with an image which pulls in the attention of traffic and sends an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo style has a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo idea wasn’t actually composed for an Cutler Bay regional farm it was actually designed for an investments broker, and this trademark was one of several which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to generate an identity that projected self-confidence, effectiveness, and wealth.
Logo design created for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is evocative a famous sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created quite a lot of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked directly with the business owner to develop a business logo that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
