Davie Logo Design

Each and every new Davie business understands that they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners fully comprehend the crucial role their organization logo can make in their financial success, or precisely why one business logo works more effectively than another. A company logo has an instant and lasting influence on the financial success of a business, select the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Davie businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand deliberation, they can be grasped in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Davie coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening in an older part of the city and wanted to project an old-fashioned atmosphere without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished both tasks via designing a sign concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and germs developed for Davie clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the causes and effects of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that works with the laboratory assessment of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I call to mind in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Typically I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves rather literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more appealing, more attention grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog designed for a family enjoyable center in Davie.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and a tree - developed for Davie travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead project emotional journeys through the photos they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Davie logo but also to reveal the depth in her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Davie logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I really enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however the client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get honest assessments on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they really liked the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their business logo recognize how crucial a logo is for their business so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo design job possesses it’s allotment of challenges, but the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Davie publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender segment of real estate to work with, but it is the most crucial part of a printed book considering that it is ordinarily the first thing a person sees in the book store. With regard to a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will ever have to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it seems that in many cases 1 of the items folks often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a good sense of air travel and it was surely a winner.

Davie logo layout made use of for advertising and also a tag design for Vintage Instance features an archaic font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be antique cases. For this logo design I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different generation.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Davie, layout include an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects considering that it appears that virtually every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dentistry logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family members nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters staggered in height to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to explain precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout produced for a hair style workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design which communicated a spirit of calmness and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious course of crafting just a stylized orchid but rather crafted a company logo which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is oftentimes the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the attention on the emotion that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Las Cafe logo design a little dining establishment, layout includes a customized script font style which floats above a group of luxuriant lines and also dots.

Logo style for a software application programmer the layout attributes and iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the owner of the company and in many cases the significance supporting a company logo is just as important as how it serves the enterprise it stands for.

Progress logo style created for a Davie interior designer, design feature a series of red circles that converge as well as change the letter O in the center of the logo style.

A logo design including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly knew the market was ready for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to sell their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Davie logo dsign utilizing a graphic that garners the interest of traffic and projects an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo style has actually a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo idea wasn’t really created for an Davie regional farm it was really developed for a products broker, and this particular trademark was one of a handful of which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to create a graphic that projected self-confidence, financial success, and prosperity.
Logo design developed for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font style that is reminiscent of a renowned sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked directly with the business owner to create a logo design which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
