Daytona Beach, Florida Logo Design

Nearly every new Daytona Beach venture realizes that they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs entirely grasp the pivotal role their company logo can take in their success, or why one business logo functions more effectively than another. A company logo has an immediate and lasting impact on the success of a company, select the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of an organization.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Daytona Beach, Florida companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require contemplation, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will remain legible and just as emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a Daytona Beach, Florida coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually opening in an old part of the community and wished to project a nostalgic tone without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished both jobs via designing a symbol concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs developed for Daytona Beach, Florida medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that examines the root causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare which deals with the clinical evaluation of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents very literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and more meaningful.

logo design with a leaping environment-friendly frog developed for a family members fun center in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and a tree - made for Daytona Beach, Florida traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather communicate emotional experiences through the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they often convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with just words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Daytona Beach logo design but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Daytona Beach logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I really enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his hatred for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased viewpoints on the value of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their business logo recognize how important a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo design project possesses it’s share of challenges, however the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Daytona Beach, Florida publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped slice of real estate to work with, but it really is the most crucial part of a published book given that it is in most cases the initial thing a person views in the book shop. With respect to a publisher, it’s the opportunity that they will likely ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it looks like that in many occurrences one of the things consumers tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to confering a spirit of air travel and it was certainly a success.

Daytona Beach logo style made use of for marketing and a tag layout for Vintage Situation includes an old typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, that looked to be older cases. For this business logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Daytona Beach, Florida, style include an arc with lines converging with it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects due to the fact that it appears that each and every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dentists do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really really love doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 characters staggered in elevation to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to summarize specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that explains itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair style workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design which related a sense of peace and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious path of making simply a stylized orchid but instead created a company logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is in most cases the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the emphasis on the emotion that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Logo design for a software application developer the style functions and also renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive operations. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the significance behind a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

A logo design including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly recognized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to market their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Daytona Beach logo dsign along with an illustration which garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo style has actually an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand idea wasn’t really designed for an Daytona Beach, Florida area farm it was actually developed for a commodities broker, and this particular brand was one of many that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to design a graphic that projected esteem, effectiveness, and luxury.

Daytona Beach Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo style attribute for ostensibly facing arrowhead as well as the arrowheads imply that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design that they would like, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the liberty to explore any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye in the absence of knowing where the target is. Thankfully, in this case, I struck a bullseye with the very first shot.

Logo developed for the use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font style that is evocative a famous sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked closely with the owner to create a logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
