Daytona Beach Logo Design

Every new Daytona Beach organization realizes that they require a logo, yet few new business owners entirely recognize the crucial role their organization logo can play in their financial success, or precisely why one logo design performs far better than another. A business logo has an immediate and long-term influence on the success of a company, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Daytona Beach businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand consideration, they can be grasped in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will stay legible and equally emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bicycle created for a Daytona Beach coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and bistro were opening in an older section of town and really wanted to cast a retro tone without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled each of the jobs by means of designing a business logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and germs made for Daytona Beach medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that analyzes the causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that deals with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I call to mind where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more captivating, more attention grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog created for a family members enjoyable center in Daytona Beach.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - developed for Daytona Beach traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but rather project emotional journeys by means of the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they often share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with just words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Daytona Beach logo design but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Daytona Beach logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I seriously enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however my customer, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family did not share his aversion for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to discuss it with colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced opinions on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their logo design recognize how important a logo design is for their organization so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo design job has it’s share of challenges, but the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Daytona Beach publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most crucial part of a printed book since it is often the primary thing a person views in the bookstore. Regarding a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will ever get to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it seems that in many instances one of the traits folks usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a sense of airline flight and it was surely a winner.

Daytona Beach logo layout made use of for advertising and a label design for Vintage Situation includes an antiquated font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be vintage cases. For this brand design I sought to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Daytona Beach, layout include an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs considering that it seems that every single dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dentists do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really love doing dentist logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to summarize exactly how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design developed for a hair layout workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo which communicated a feeling of ease and connection for their new hair salon. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious direction of making merely a stylized orchid but instead designed a logo design that implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is more often than not the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the attention on the emotion that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Arabian equine logo design developed for a horse cattle ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software developer the style functions as well as legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it represented something to the owner of the company and in many cases the substance behind a logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it represents.

A logo style including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly knew the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a place to market their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Daytona Beach logo dsign using a graphic which garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo style has actually a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t actually composed for an Daytona Beach area farm it was in reality designed for an investments broker, and this particular logo was one of several that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to make a brand mark that projected assurance, financial success, and affluence.
Logo made for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font style that is similar to a famous sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to develop a logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
