DeLand Logo Design

Nearly every new DeLand business knows they require a logo, yet few entrepreneurs entirely comprehend the vital role their business logo can take in their success, or the reason that one logo design functions more effectively than another. A logo has an instant and sustaining effect on the financial success of a business, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help DeLand businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand scrutiny, they can be comprehended in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle developed for a DeLand coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening in an old section of the city and hoped to cast a nostalgic tone without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved both of these tasks via creating a symbol design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide and bacteria developed for DeLand medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which investigates the causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that works with the laboratory assessment of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Typically I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and a lot more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping environment-friendly frog developed for a family enjoyable center in DeLand.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental professionals, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for DeLand travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead project emotional journeys by means of the images they record. The thought behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  DeLand logo but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

DeLand logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design jobs that I take on I really relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but the client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his aversion for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get honest opinions on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really liked the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to design their logo understand how essential a logo is for their business so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo job has it’s portion of challenges, however the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for DeLand book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most important part of a printed book due to the fact that it is in most cases the primary thing a person views in the book store. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity they will ever get to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it seems that in many instances one of the aspects consumers often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small new venture commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a spirit of flight and it was certainly a winner.

DeLand logo layout utilized for advertising and also a tag design for Vintage Instance includes an antiquated typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be vintage cases. For this logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be used for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in DeLand, style include an arc with lines converging through it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can be one of the most challenging logo design jobs considering that it seems that virtually every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dental logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family members nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities startled in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to illustrate specifically how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout produced for a hair design workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo design which projected a spirit of tranquility and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious path of creating merely a stylized orchid but instead designed a company logo which implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is frequently the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the importance on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Logo design for a software application programmer the design attributes and famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive operations. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the owner of the company and in many cases the substance behind a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the company it represents.

Advance logo layout developed for a DeLand indoor designer, layout feature a collection of red circles that intersect and replace the letter O in the center of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular DeLand logo design project was completed for a leadership specialist that helps business leaders to become more efficient at handling people, expectations, and productivity.

A logo design including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly recognized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to sell off their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their DeLand logo dsign using a graphic which pulls in the interest of traffic and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo style has a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t actually designed for an DeLand regional farm it was actually designed for a commodities broker, and this particular company logo was one of multiple which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to generate a graphic that projects esteem, success, and affluence.
Logo designed for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font style that is evocative a renowned sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked directly with the business owner to produce a business logo which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
