Ensley Logo Design

Every new Ensley company realizes that they are in need of a logo, yet few entrepreneurs entirely comprehend the key role their company logo can perform in their becoming successful, or the reason that one business logo performs far better than another. A business logo has an instant and long-term impact on the growth of a business, pick the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Ensley companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require scrutiny, they can be grasped in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will be legible and equally emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Ensley coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening in an older section of town and hoped to visualize a retro feel without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished both of these jobs via designing a trademark design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide as well as bacteria developed for Ensley medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which examines the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine that works with the clinical assessment of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I call to mind in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Normally I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more appealing, more attention grabbing and even more memorable.

logo style with a jumping environment-friendly frog developed for a family enjoyable facility in Ensley.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Ensley travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather project emotional experiences through the images they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I tried to do something the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Ensley logo design but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Ensley logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I truly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however my client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his aversion for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to talk about it with friends and family as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get objective judgements on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to create their logo comprehend how vital a logo design is for their company so they are way more invested in the outcome. Every logo design project possesses it’s allotment of obstacles, however the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Ensley publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin parcel of real estate to work with, however it is the most essential part of a printed book since it is in most cases the first thing a person views in the bookstore. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it looks like that in many cases 1 of the traits people often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a feeling of air travel and it was certainly a winner.

Ensley logo layout utilized for advertising as well as a label layout for Vintage Situation features an old-fashioned font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for music instruments, which looked to be older cases. For this business logo design I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be used for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Ensley, design consist of an arc with lines converging via it to imply metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most challenging logo projects because it seems that virtually every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 characters startled in height to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to describe exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design developed for a hair layout workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo that conveyed an atmosphere of serenity and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a design that did not go the obvious course of making just a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a logo design that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is in most cases the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the attention on the feeling that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Logo layout for a software program developer the style functions and renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the owner of the business and in many cases the substance supporting a logo design is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it stands for.

A logo style including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly knew the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a place to sell off their used items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Ensley logo dsign along with an illustration that garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo design has actually a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem design wasn’t actually composed for an Ensley regional farm it was really devised for a commodities broker, and this particular company logo was one of a handful of that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to make an identity that projected self-confidence, effectiveness, and luxury.
Logo design made for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font that is reminiscent of a popular sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked closely with the owner to design a business logo which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
