Ferry Pass Logo Design

Nearly every new Ferry Pass organization understands that they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs entirely grasp the pivotal role their organization logo can make in their success, or the reason that one logo design performs more effectively than another. A company logo has a critical and long-term influence on the success of a company, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Ferry Pass companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require contemplation, they can be realized in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will remain legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle created for a Ferry Pass coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually opening in an older section of the city and wished to visualize a nostalgic tone without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled each of the jobs by means of designing a custom logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide and bacteria created for Ferry Pass medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which studies the triggers and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that works with the laboratory evaluation of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I recall in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more interesting, more interest grabbing and even more memorable.

logo layout with a leaping green frog designed for a household enjoyable facility in Ferry Pass.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Ferry Pass traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead reveal emotional journeys by means of the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something comparable to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Ferry Pass logo but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Ferry Pass logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but the client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family did not share his scorn for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased opinions on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to create their business logo comprehend how important a logo is for their business so they are way more invested in the outcome. Every logo design job has it’s share of challenges, however the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, layout for Ferry Pass publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most essential part of a published book because it is usually the primary thing a person views in the book store. For a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will likely ever have to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart yet it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the aspects people usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a sense of flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Ferry Pass logo design made use of for advertising and marketing and also a tag layout for Vintage Case includes an archaic font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be older cases. For this custom logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Ferry Pass, design consist of an arc with lines converging through it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs due to the fact that it appears that each and every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I actually love doing dentist logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in elevation to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to explain how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair design studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo which conveyed a spirit of simplicity and class for their new hair salon. I created a design that did not go the obvious path of designing just a stylized orchid but rather designed a logo design which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is in most cases the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the importance on the feeling that they really wanted to transmit to their customers.

Arabian horse logo style developed for an equine ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created an original organization logo concept fashioned to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of horses. With a distinctive head form and very high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the highly quite easily recognizable equine types in the world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo layout a tiny dining establishment, style consists of a changed manuscript font which floats above a team of ornate lines and also dots.

Logo style for a software program designer the design features and iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive management. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism behind a logo is equally as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

Develop logo style created for a Ferry Pass interior designer, style feature a series of red circles that intersect and change the letter O in the middle of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Interior design is a diverse occupation that involves conceptual development, space planning, site assessments, programming, study, communicating with the stakeholders of a project, building and construction supervision, and execution of the design.

logo style provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions, the personalities for letter V and A in center of words advanced have actually been changed to connect straight right into words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Ferry Pass logo design project was undertaken for a leadership advisor that aids business professionals to develop into more effective at supervising people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly recognized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to sell off their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Ferry Pass business logo dsign with an illustration which garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo style has actually an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t really designed for an Ferry Pass regional farm it was in reality devised for a commodities broker, and this business logo was one of multiple that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to create a image that projects assurance, effectiveness, and opulence.
Logo created for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is reminiscent of a renowned sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted quite a lot of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked closely with the owner to develop a business logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
