Fort Lauderdale, Florida Logo Design

Nearly every new Fort Lauderdale company realizes that they are in need of a logo, yet few entrepreneurs entirely comprehend the vital role their logo can take in their becoming successful, or precisely why one business logo works more effectively than another. A company logo has a critical and long term effect on the prosperity of a business, select the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of an organization.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Fort Lauderdale, Florida businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require scrutiny, they can be grasped in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos which operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be ageless and should feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.
Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Fort Lauderdale, Florida coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and cafe were opening up in an older part of the area and wished to cast an old-fashioned vibe without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished each of the tasks via designing a custom logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and also germs made for Fort Lauderdale, Florida medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which researches the root causes and effects of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that deals with the clinical evaluation of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more appealing, more focus grabbing and more memorable.

logo style with a leaping eco-friendly frog created for a family enjoyable center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Fort Lauderdale, Florida traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead communicate emotional journeys by means of the photos they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Fort Lauderdale logo design but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Fort Lauderdale logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design jobs that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however the customer, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his contempt for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get neutral viewpoints on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo comprehend how crucial a logo is for their organization so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo design job has it’s allotment of hurdles, however the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Fort Lauderdale, Florida publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, however it is the most necessary part of a printed book since it is often the primary thing a person views in the book shop. For a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever have to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the traits folks usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a sense of flight and it was certainly a success.

Fort Lauderdale logo design used for marketing and a tag design for Vintage Instance features an old-fashioned font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be older cases. For this business logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, layout consist of an arc with lines converging with it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo design projects because it seems that each and every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental offices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really love doing dental care logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities startled in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to explain exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that explains itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo style produced for a hair design workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo which communicated a feeling of tranquility and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a design which did not go the obvious route of making just a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a logo that suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is generally the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the main focus on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Logo style for a software program designer the layout functions as well as legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the significance supporting a logo design is just as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

A logo design including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly understood the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to sell their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Fort Lauderdale logo dsign along with a graphic that garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has actually a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t really developed for an Fort Lauderdale, Florida regional farm it was in reality designed for a commodities broker, and this logo was one of several that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to generate a brand mark that projects assurance, success, and opulence.

Fort Lauderdale Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo style attribute for externally encountering arrowhead and the arrowheads indicate that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the liberty to investigate any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without understanding where the target is. Thankfully, in this particular case, I nailed a bullseye with the first try.

Logo design developed for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a renowned sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed dozens of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked directly with the owner to design a logo design that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
