Greater Northdale Logo Design

Nearly every new Greater Northdale venture understands that they require a logo, however few new business owners entirely grasp the key role their logo design can perform in their becoming successful, or precisely why one logo works more effectively than another. A logo has an immediate and sustaining impact on the success of a company, pick the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Greater Northdale companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require consideration, they can be comprehended in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will be legible and equally emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Greater Northdale coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee bar were launching in an older part of the area and really wanted to visualize an old-fashioned tone without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished the two jobs by designing a custom logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as bacteria made for Greater Northdale medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which examines the causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which deals with the laboratory assessment of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog designed for a family fun facility in Greater Northdale.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better enthusiastic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design including a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and a tree - made for Greater Northdale travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead convey emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Greater Northdale logo design but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Greater Northdale logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his scorn for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get objective opinions on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their business logo realize how crucial a logo is for their business so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo design job possesses it’s share of difficulties, however the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, layout for Greater Northdale book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, however it is the most essential part of a printed book given that it is usually the initial thing a person views in the book shop. With respect to a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will likely ever get to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it looks like that in many cases one of the aspects consumers tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a sense of airline flight and it was surely a winner.

Greater Northdale logo layout made use of for marketing and a tag design for Vintage Case features an old typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be much older cases. For this logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Greater Northdale, layout include an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs because it appears that every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really enjoy doing dentistry logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family members nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities startled in elevation to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to describe precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo style produced for a hair design workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo that projected a spirit of ease and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a design which did not go the obvious direction of designing just a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a logo design that implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is in most cases the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the focus on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted a one-of-a-kind company logo concept tailored to epitomize the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of horses. With an unique head shape and higher tail posture, the Arabian is one of the highly quite easily recognizable horse breeds in the entire world.

Logo style for a software application developer the design functions as well as renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk managing. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

A logo design featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly recognized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to sell off their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Greater Northdale logo dsign utilizing an illustration that grabs the interest of vehicles and sends an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t really designed for an Greater Northdale regional farm it was really devised for a products broker, and this particular creative logo was one of a handful of which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to generate an identity that projected self-assurance, success, and prosperity.
Logo made for making use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font style that is similar to a famous sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked directly with the business owner to produce a logo design which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
