STRATEGIES ON PICKING THE RIGHT LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A business logo is an investment in both your time and your money so when a design company offers a money back guarantee try to bear in mind that they can’t refund the amount of time you invest which is eminently more precious than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Some designers talk a good game but in the end a design firm can only be determined by the quality of their design work, if the work in their portfolio does not feature real world examples odds are they will not be able to deliver a premium logo design.

VISION

A logo’s objective is to be understood and remembered, and it’s goal is to echo your personal vision for your business. If a logo designer is not focused on realizing your vision, the thing they are actually focused on is how soon they can get paid.

Greater Northdale LOGO DESIGN

For over 20 years ImageCo has been helping entrepreneurs develop memorable brand identities. We have performed brand identity design work for ranchers, colleges, heart surgeons, party planners, cafes, retailers, and practically every other kind of business concern you can imagine. What makes ImageCo unique compared to traditional designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we approach every logo design project as if it will be employed as an electric sign. Because of our sign first method our designs can, and have been used in everything from fashion labels to billboards. Our sign first technique ensures that our logo designs are just as reliable whether they are used in television commercials or web applications, they are consistently identifiable, comprehended, and remembered irrespective of scale or application.

American Made ★ Design

The one difference which really sets ImageCo apart from many of the design companies that you might have found in search results, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that each and every design project we are hired to perform, we perform in-house. No matter the type of project we undertake, logo design, web page, trade show display, or retail sign, we do not, and never will contract out our client’s projects to contractors located outside the USA. Whenever you phone us at 1-855-IMAGECO the individual that answers the phone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a go-between that increases the cost of your design project and imposes the conditions of how my customers and I conduct business.

ASPECTS OF A POWERFUL LOGO DESIGN

It’s likely that every new Greater Northdale organization realizes that they require a logo, however few new business owners thoroughly grasp the pivotal role their logo can play in their becoming successful, or the reason that one business logo performs better than another. A logo design has a critical and long term effect on the growth of a company, select the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Greater Northdale businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require consideration, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from clothing labels to posters a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel exclusive, and they are suitable for the product or organization they brand.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be timeless and should feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

understand your brand

Brand – It’s both a verb and a noun, it’s an identifying mark as well as the process of marking something to make sure that it could be identified, its genesis comes from the brand branded onto animals. These days a brand represents pretty much anything with an objective, regardless if it be profit or politics, a brand is an intrinsic aspect of specifying the value of a specific thing in the consumer’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like advertising and marketing’s sexy cousin, they are each from the very same family, the difference being that advertising and marketing have to do with making a promise and branding’s objective is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity contest targeted at a specific audience, it’s goal is to develop a mental image that the audience can connect to.

Brand Image – An image planted and cultivated by advertising and marketing as well as identity design. When someone mentions the brand names Ferrari or Mustang what we consider is their brand image, it’s an image that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a vehicle with 4 wheels that can transport us from point A to point B, the image we have (or at least I have) is of speed, elegance, of something dangerous and sexy . That is brand image and that is what makes people purchase those products. Brand image is why individuals identify with most things, from Nike to Adidas Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that people can identify with.

Branding Firms – If you look back at the beginning of a lot of branding firms you’ll discover that they are often rebranded advertising and marketing firms. When someone states they are in advertising lots of people will likely have a preconceived notion about what they do. But when someone claims “I’m in branding”… it simply seems more impressive, maybe it’s due to the fact that the majority of people don’t recognize what it suggests to be in branding so it comes off as more mysterious and kind of sexy.

Brand Identity – Is a comprehensive term that explains the visual components of a product or business that influence perceptions. This mostly consists of the name, the logo design, the product packaging, the different colors used but can likewise consist of audio, lighting, texture, signage, just about anything that can be seen, touched or heard belong to a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designers
– A brand identity designer is a visual designer that specializes in a kind of visual design that helps shape the image of a company, a product or a business. Brand identity designers create logo designs, sign designs, product packaging, and collateral products such as business cards, stationery, and sales brochures. Some identity designers also design web sites as well as user interfaces. The necessary role of a brand identity designer is to establish the visual cues and an emotional tone with the goal of influencing actions, end results as well as perceptions.

select SIGNS & LOGOS

Retro logo layout of a bicycle created for a Greater Northdale coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually opening up in an old part of town and hoped to cast a nostalgic feel without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I achieved each of the tasks by means of creating a custom logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide as well as bacteria designed for Greater Northdale clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare which deals with the laboratory examination of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the only instance I remember where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Typically I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more captivating, more interest grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog designed for a household fun center in Greater Northdale.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental professionals, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - created for Greater Northdale traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead communicate emotional journeys by means of the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with just words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Greater Northdale logo design but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Greater Northdale logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I really enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but my customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his hatred for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get objective point of views on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they really liked the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo design comprehend how crucial a logo is for their organization so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo project has it’s share of challenges, however the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, layout for Greater Northdale book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, yet it is the most crucial part of a printed book since it is in most cases the initial thing a person views in the book shop. With respect to a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity they will ever get to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it seems that in many occurrences one of the things consumers tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a good sense of flight and it was undoubtedly a success.

Greater Northdale logo design utilized for marketing and a tag design for Vintage Instance features an antiquated font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be vintage cases. For this brand concept I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could be used for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different era.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Greater Northdale, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most difficult logo projects because it seems that every single dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dental practices do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family members nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities surprised in height to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo layout developed for a Greater Northdale hair style workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo that communicated a sense of peace and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious route of designing just a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a company logo which implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is usually the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the focus on the emotion that they wanted to project to their customers.

Arabian equine logo style produced for a horse cattle ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted a distinct business logo concept fashioned to exemplify the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of equines. With a different head shape and high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the highly immediately recognizable equine breeds in the world.

Las Cafe, A Greater Northdale Coffee shop logo style a small dining establishment, design contains a customized manuscript font style which floats over a team of ornate lines and also dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo layout a small restaurant, layout contains a changed manuscript font style which floats above a group of elaborate lines and also dots.

Logo style for a software program programmer the design features and also famous Greater Northdale element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive managing. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the owner of the business and in many cases the significance supporting a logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

Develop logo design developed for a Greater Northdaleinterior designer, layout attribute a collection of red circles that intersect as well as replace the letter O in the center of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Greater Northdale interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is an individual who plans, explores, coordinates, and manages such tasks. Interior design is a multifaceted profession that involves conceptual development, space planning, location assessments, programming, analysis, communicating with the stakeholders of a project, building and construction management, and implementation of the design.

logo design done for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Greater Northdale, the personalities for letter V and A in middle of words progressed have been customized to link straight right into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Greater Northdale logo design project was carried out for a leadership consultant that aids business professionals to develop into more successful at managing people, expectations, and productivity.

A Greater Northdale business logo style including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to sell their used products to other sports enthusiasts.

I designed their Greater Northdale business logo design along with an illustration which garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.

Logo style MQ ranches, this Greater Northdale company logo design has actually a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo design wasn’t really designed for an Greater Northdale area farm it was actually created for an investments broker, and this particular logo design was one of multiple that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to design a graphic that projected self-assurance, effectiveness, and wealth.

Greater Northdale Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo style function for ostensibly facing arrowhead and also the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design they wanted, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the freedom to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye in the absence of realizing where the target is. Luckily, in this instance, I struck a bullseye with the 1st shot.

Logo design made for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font style that is similar to a renowned Greater Northdale sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to design a business logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
