Hollywood Logo Design

Nearly every new Hollywood organization understands that they need a logo, however few new business owners thoroughly realize the essential role their organization logo can take in their financial success, or the reason that one business logo works far better than another. A logo design has a critical and sustaining influence on the financial success of a company, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Hollywood businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require scrutiny, they can be understood in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and just as emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Hollywood coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were launching in an old part of the city and wished to visualize a nostalgic feel without coming across as boring or low energy. I achieved both of these tasks via designing a custom logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and germs designed for Hollywood clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which studies the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that deals with the laboratory assessment of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I recall in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents very literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and a lot more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping green frog created for a family enjoyable center in Hollywood.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Hollywood traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead reveal emotional journeys through the pictures they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they often convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Hollywood logo design but also to reveal the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Hollywood logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design jobs that I take on I really enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however the client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family did not share his scorn for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get impartial point of views on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to create their business logo realize how crucial a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo job has it’s portion of difficulties, but the greatest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Hollywood publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, but it is the most important part of a published book due to the fact that it is often the very first thing a person sees in the book shop. Concerning a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will ever have to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it seems like that in many occurrences one of the things people often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small new venture commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a good sense of air travel and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Hollywood logo layout used for advertising and also a tag design for Vintage Case features an archaic typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be older cases. For this brand concept I sought to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Hollywood, design include an arc with lines converging through it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects considering that it seems that every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental offices do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really love doing dentistry logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family not-for-profit, the logo features 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to describe specifically how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo style produced for a hair design workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo that related a feeling of peace and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious path of crafting merely a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a logo design which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is in most cases the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the focus on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their customers.

Arabian equine logo style produced for a horse cattle ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software application programmer the layout features and iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk operations. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the substance behind a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly understood the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to market their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Hollywood business logo dsign using an image that grabs the interest of traffic and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has actually an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem idea wasn’t actually designed for an Hollywood regional farm it was in reality designed for an investments broker, and this business logo was one of several which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to make a graphic that projects trust, financial success, and affluence.
Logo created for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font that is reminiscent of a renowned sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked closely with the proprietor to create a business logo that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
