Lake Magdalene Logo Design

Every new Lake Magdalene organization understands that they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly grasp the vital role their organization logo can perform in their financial success, or the reason that one business logo functions far better than another. A company logo has an instant and sustaining influence on the success of a business, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Lake Magdalene businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand deliberation, they can be grasped in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will stay legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a Lake Magdalene coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were launching in an older section of town and really wanted to cast a retro feel without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved each of the jobs by means of developing a logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide and also germs developed for Lake Magdalene medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the root causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which works with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the only instance I remember where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Usually I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves rather literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and a lot more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping green frog created for a family members enjoyable center in Lake Magdalene.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Lake Magdalene travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather reveal emotional journeys through the images they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they frequently convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I made an effort to do something very similar to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Lake Magdalene logo but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Lake Magdalene logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design jobs that I take on I honestly relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however my client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family did not share his aversion for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get objective point of views on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to design their logo design realize how crucial a logo is for their company so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo project possesses it’s allotment of challenges, however the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Lake Magdalene publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most critical part of a printed book because it is often the primary thing a person views in the book shop. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever get to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it looks like that in many instances one of the things people tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a sense of airline flight and it was definitely a success.

Lake Magdalene logo layout used for advertising as well as a tag style for Vintage Case features an archaic typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be older cases. For this custom logo design I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a website to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Lake Magdalene, style consist of an arc with lines converging through it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most challenging logo design jobs due to the fact that it appears that each and every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dentists do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dental care logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a household nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters surprised in height to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to illustrate specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design developed for a hair style studio including a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo that carried a spirit of peace and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a design which did not go the obvious path of creating just a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is in most cases the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the importance on the emotion that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Las Cafe logo design a tiny dining establishment, layout includes a modified manuscript font which hovers above a team of luxuriant lines and dots.

Logo design for a software program developer the style attributes and legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it meant something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance behind a business logo is just as important as how it serves the organization it represents.

Develop logo style created for a Lake Magdalene indoor designer, style feature a collection of red circles that converge as well as replace the letter O in the center of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Lake Magdalene logo design assignment was done for a management coach that assists business leaders to develop into more effective at managing people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo layout including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly understood the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to market their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Lake Magdalene logo dsign along with an illustration which garners the interest of traffic and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo style has actually an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand design wasn’t really designed for an Lake Magdalene area farm it was in reality designed for an investments broker, and this logo was one of a handful of that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to create an identity that projects confidence, financial success, and wealth.
Logo developed for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is similar to a popular sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to develop a logo design that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
