Largo Logo Design

Virtually every new Largo company knows they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs thoroughly grasp the pivotal role their organization logo can make in their success, or why one logo design works far better than another. A logo has a critical and lasting effect on the prosperity of a business, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Largo companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require contemplation, they can be grasped in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will stay legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Largo coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening up in an old part of the town and hoped to cast an old-fashioned tone without coming across as boring or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks by designing a symbol design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs made for Largo medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which studies the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the laboratory assessment of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I recollect in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and much more memorable.

logo design with a leaping green frog created for a household fun center in Largo.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - created for Largo traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead reveal emotional experiences through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they frequently tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with just words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Largo logo design but also to illustrate the depth in her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Largo logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however my customer, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family did not share his contempt for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to share it with friends and family as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get honest assessments on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they adored the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their logo design recognize how essential a logo is for their business so they are way more invested in the outcome. Every logo job has it’s portion of difficulties, however the greatest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Largo publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, yet it is the most essential part of a printed book because it is in most cases the very first thing a person views in the bookstore. For a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever get to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it seems like that in many occurrences one of the traits people often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a feeling of airline flight and it was definitely a winner.

Largo logo design used for advertising and also a label style for Vintage Situation includes an archaic font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, which looked to be older cases. For this logo design I tried to come up with a logo that offered a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be utilized for everything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another generation.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Largo, design include an arc with lines converging via it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects due to the fact that it seems that virtually every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually love doing dentist logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in elevation to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to summarize exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style developed for a hair layout studio including a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo design which conveyed a spirit of calmness and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious direction of creating simply a stylized orchid but instead designed a logo design which suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is generally the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the importance on the feeling that they wanted to project to their clients.

Las Cafe logo design a small restaurant, layout consists of a customized script typeface which hovers over a team of ornate lines and dots.

Logo style for a software programmer the style features and famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive managing. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism behind a company logo is just as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

A logo style including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly realized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to market their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Largo logo design dsign along with a graphic which captures the attention of traffic and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo design has an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t really designed for an Largo regional farm it was actually created for a commodities broker, and this particular brand was one of many which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to produce an identity that projected trust, financial success, and wealth.
Logo design made for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is similar to a well-known sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked closely with the business owner to develop a logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
