Meadow Woods Logo Design

Every new Meadow Woods venture knows they require a logo, but few new business owners fully grasp the key role their organization logo can take in their success, or why one logo design works better than another. A logo design has a critical and long-term impact on the financial success of a company, pick the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Meadow Woods businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand consideration, they can be realized in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will remain legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bike created for a Meadow Woods coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening in an older part of town and really wanted to project a retro atmosphere without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved each of the jobs by means of designing a business logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide and also bacteria made for Meadow Woods medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that works with the laboratory evaluation of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I recall where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and even more memorable.

logo layout with a jumping environment-friendly frog created for a family enjoyable facility in Meadow Woods.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - created for Meadow Woods traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather project emotional journeys through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with just words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Meadow Woods logo but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Meadow Woods logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however my client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his contempt for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get impartial viewpoints on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo comprehend how crucial a logo is for their company so they are much more vested in the outcome. Every logo job has it’s share of obstacles, but the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Meadow Woods book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, yet it is the most necessary part of a printed book since it is often the initial thing a person views in the book store. Concerning a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will ever get to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it seems that in many instances one of the aspects people usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a good sense of airline flight and it was definitely a winner.

Meadow Woods logo style used for marketing and also a label layout for Vintage Instance includes an archaic font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, that looked to be older cases. For this custom logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Meadow Woods, layout include an arc with lines intersecting via it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo projects considering that it seems that almost every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to summarize precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style developed for a hair design studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo that related a sense of calmness and connection for their new hair studio. I created a design which did not go the obvious path of making just a stylized orchid but rather delivered a logo which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is more often than not the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the emphasis on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Logo layout for a software application designer the design features and renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the significance supporting a business logo is just as important as how it brands the organization it stands for.

A logo style including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly realized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to market their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Meadow Woods logo design dsign with an illustration which garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo design has a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t really produced for an Meadow Woods area farm it was actually devised for an investments broker, and this trademark was one of several which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to make an identity that projects assurance, effectiveness, and luxury.
Logo design developed for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font that is reminiscent of a popular sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked closely with the proprietor to develop a business logo that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
