Miami Beach, Florida Logo Design

Virtually every new Miami Beach business person realizes that they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners fully recognize the essential role their company logo can take in their becoming successful, or exactly why one business logo functions more effectively than another. A business logo has an immediate and long term effect on the financial success of a company, select the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a business.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Miami Beach, Florida businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand deliberation, they can be grasped in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from labels to movie screens a scalable logo will remain legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be lasting and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.
Retro logo layout of a bicycle created for a Miami Beach, Florida coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening up in an old section of the city and wished to project a nostalgic vibe without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I achieved both of these jobs by means of developing a custom logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and also germs made for Miami Beach, Florida medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that analyzes the root causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that works with the clinical assessment of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recall in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more captivating, more focus grabbing and more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog developed for a family enjoyable center in Miami Beach, Florida.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental offices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Miami Beach, Florida traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche profession because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead communicate emotional journeys by means of the pictures they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Miami Beach logo design but also to illustrate the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Miami Beach logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but my client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his scorn for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage all of them to discuss it with friends and family as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get objective judgements on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logo designs are a strange creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo understand how important a logo is for their organization so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo project possesses it’s allotment of difficulties, but the most significant challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Miami Beach, Florida book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, however it really is the most critical part of a published book since it is in most cases the initial thing a person views in the book shop. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will likely ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it seems like that in many cases one of the items folks usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a feeling of flight and it was surely a winner.

Miami Beach logo layout used for marketing and a label layout for Vintage Situation features an old font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be older cases. For this logo design I sought to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be used for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Miami Beach, Florida, layout include an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most difficult logo design jobs due to the fact that it seems that almost every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental offices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dentistry business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family members nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters startled in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to summarize exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that describes itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo design produced for a hair design workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo that communicated a sense of simplicity and connection for their new hair salon. I created a design that did not go the obvious direction of creating simply a stylized orchid but rather delivered a logo design that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is generally the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the focus on the perception that they wanted to project to their clients.

Logo style for a software application programmer the design features and also famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the significance supporting a business logo is just as important as how it brands the company it represents.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly recognized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a location to sell off their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Miami Beach logo dsign utilizing an image which garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design they desired, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the freedom to discover any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye without understanding where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this particular case, I nailed a bullseye with the 1st shot.

Logo design created for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is reminiscent of a renowned sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked closely with the proprietor to produce a logo design that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
