STRATEGIES FOR PICKING THE BEST LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A logo is an investment in both your time and your money so anytime a design company presents a money back guarantee try to remember that they can not reimburse the time you commit which is eminently more precious than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Some design firms talk a good game but inevitably a design firm can only be evaluated by the quality of their design work, if the work in their portfolio doesn’t feature real world samples chances are they won’t be able to produce a premium logo design.

VISION

A logo’s objective is to be understood and remembered, and it’s purpose is to mirror your personal vision for your business. If a logo designer is not focused on fulfilling your vision, the thing they are really focused on is how quickly they will get paid.

Miami Lakes LOGO DESIGN

For over two decades ImageCo has been helping small business owners develop unforgettable brand identities. We’ve performed brand design work for mechanics, colleges, diamond miners, party planners, coffee roasters, retailers, and virtually every other kind of business concern you can imagine. What makes ImageCo unique compared to traditional designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we undertake every logo design project as though it will be utilized as an electric sign. As a result of our sign first strategy our logo designs can, and have been used in everything from fashion labels to electrical signs. Our sign first technique ensures that our logo designs are just as effective whether they are used in TV commercials or website applications, they are consistently identifiable, understood, and always remembered irrespective of scale or function.

American Made ★ Design

The thing which seriously sets ImageCo apart from other design companies that you might possibly have encountered in search results, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that absolutely every design project we are hired to do, we do ourselves. Regardless of the kind of project we take on, logo, web page, trade show exhibit, or retail sign, we do not, and never will farm out our customer’s projects to 3rd parties based outside the US. Whenever you phone us at 1-855-IMAGECO the individual that picks up the phone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a middleman that marks up the cost of your project and imposes the conditions of how you and I conduct business.

QUALITIES OF AN EFFECTIVE LOGO DESIGN

It’s likely that every new Miami Lakes entrepreneur knows they require a logo, yet few start-ups entirely realize the crucial role their logo can perform in their success, or the reason that one logo design functions better than another. A logo has an immediate and lasting impact on the success of a business, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Miami Lakes businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require scrutiny, they can be understood in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from clothing labels to retail signs a scalable logo will stay legible and equally emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos which operate on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel personal, and they are suitable for the item or company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be enduring and will feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

understand your brand

Brand – It’s a verb and a noun, it is an identifying mark and also the process of marking something to ensure that it could be recognized, its genesis comes from the brand branded onto animals. These days a brand symbolizes practically anything with an intention, whether it be profit or political parties, a brand is an intrinsic aspect of defining the worth of something in the consumer’s mind.

Branding – Is sort of like marketing and advertising’s attractive cousin, they are both from the exact same family, the difference being that marketing and advertising have to do with making a promise and branding’s objective is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity competition directed at a target audience, it’s goal is to create a mental image that the audience will relate to.

Brand Image – An image planted and nurtured by advertising and marketing as well as identity design. When a person mentions the names Porsche or Mustang what we consider is their brand image, it’s an image that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of an automobile with 4 wheels that can deliver us from point A to point B, the the mental image we have (or at least I have) is of freedom, elegance, of something dangerous and sexy . That is brand image and brand image is what makes individuals purchase those products. Brand image is why people get most things, from Pepsi to Coke Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that people can relate to.

Branding Companies – If you reflect on the beginning of a lot of branding companies you’ll find that they are often re-branded advertising firms. When a person says they are in advertising and marketing most people will likely have a preconceived notion about the type of work they do anything that can be seen, touched or heard belong to a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designer
– A brand identity designer is a graphic designer that focuses on a type of visual design which helps shape the image of a business, a product or a business. Brand identity designers develop logo designs, signage designs, packaging, and also collateral material such as business cards, stationery, as well as brochures. Some visual designers also design web sites and software interfaces. The crucial duty of a brand identity designer is to establish the visual cues and an emotional tone with the goal of influencing activities, end results and also assumptions.

Featured logos & signs

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Miami Lakes coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee bar were launching in an older part of the city and wanted to project a nostalgic atmosphere without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved both of these jobs by means of developing a logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria created for Miami Lakes medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that works with the clinical evaluation of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Typically I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents rather literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more focus grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog developed for a household enjoyable facility in Miami Lakes.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - made for Miami Lakes traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead project emotional experiences through the photos they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they often convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I tried to do something similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Miami Lakes logo design but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Miami Lakes logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I truly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but the customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his contempt for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage them to share it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased opinions on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their logo recognize how important a logo design is for their business so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo project has it’s allotment of obstacles, but the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Miami Lakes book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, but it is the most critical part of a printed book given that it is usually the initial thing a person sees in the book store. Regarding a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will ever get to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart nevertheless it seems like that in many cases one of the traits consumers often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest startup commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a good sense of airline flight and it was surely a success.

Miami Lakes logo design utilized for marketing and also a tag style for Vintage Instance features an archaic font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, which looked to be older cases. For this business logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be used for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Miami Lakes, design consist of an arc with lines converging via it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects due to the fact that it seems that every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I actually love doing dentistry logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family members not-for-profit, the logo features 4 characters startled in elevation to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the families in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to describe precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a Miami Lakes hair style workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo which related a spirit of contentment and connection for their new hair salon. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious path of crafting simply a stylized orchid but rather crafted a logo which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is usually the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the attention on the emotion that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Arabian steed logo style created for a steed cattle ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a unique brand design customized to epitomize the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of horses. By having a distinctive head shape and high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the highly immediately identifiable horse lineages in the world.

Las Cafe, A Miami Lakes Coffee shop logo style a little restaurant, layout consists of a modified script typeface which hovers above a group of elaborate lines and dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo layout a small restaurant, design consists of a customized script font style which floats over a team of luxuriant lines as well as dots.

Logo design for a software designer the layout functions as well as renowned Miami Lakes element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the substance supporting a company logo is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

Progress logo design developed for a Miami Lakesindoor designer, layout attribute a collection of red circles that intersect and also replace the letter O in the center of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Miami Lakes interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is a person who organizes, researches, collaborates, and oversees such projects. Interior design is a diverse occupation that consists of conceptual development, area planning, location inspections, programming, study, communicating with the stakeholders of a project, construction management, and execution of the design.

logo style provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Miami Lakes, the personalities for letter V and A in center of words progressed have actually been changed to connect directly into words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Miami Lakes logo design job was performed for a leadership expert that enables business professionals to become more successful at overseeing people, expectations, and profitability.

A Miami Lakes business logo layout including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to market their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts.

I tailored their Miami Lakes business logo design utilizing an image that garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.

Logo style MQ ranches, this Miami Lakes company logo layout has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand design wasn’t actually produced for an Miami Lakes regional farm it was really designed for a commodities broker, and this particular creative logo was one of several which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to produce a graphic that projects assurance, success, and prosperity.

Miami Lakes Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo style feature for externally dealing with arrow and also the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design that they preferred, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the opportunity to delve into any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without understanding where the target is. Luckily, in this case, I hit a bullseye with the very first go.

Logo made for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is evocative a well-known Miami Lakes sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed dozens of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to create a business logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
