Miami, Florida Logo Design

Each and every new Miami company realizes that they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs are thoroughly aware of the vital role their logo will perform in their becoming successful, or why one logo performs better than another. A logo design has an instant and long-term impact on the prosperity of a business, select the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a business.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Miami, Florida companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand contemplation, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and just as emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo design of a bike produced for a Miami, Florida coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually opening up in an older section of the community and wished to visualize a nostalgic feel without coming across as boring or low energy. I fulfilled both jobs via designing a custom logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria made for Miami, Florida medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the triggers and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare which deals with the clinical examination of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves quite literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more intriguing, more interest grabbing and a lot more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog designed for a household fun center in Miami, Florida.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - developed for Miami, Florida travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead reveal emotional journeys through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they often share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Miami logo design but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Miami logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my customer, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family did not share his hatred for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get impartial opinions on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo recognize how essential a logo is for their company so they are way more invested in the end result. Every logo project has it’s allotment of challenges, however the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Miami, Florida publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow slice of real estate to work with, however it really is the most necessary part of a published book since it is often the first thing a person sees in the book shop. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will ever get to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart yet it seems that in many cases one of the things individuals often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to confering a feeling of flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Miami logo style utilized for advertising and also a label design for Vintage Instance features an antiquated font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this custom logo design I sought to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Miami, Florida, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo jobs considering that it seems that virtually every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a household not-for-profit, the logo features 4 characters surprised in elevation to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair design workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo that carried a feeling of serenity and class for their new hair salon. I created a concept that did not go the obvious course of designing just a stylized orchid but instead crafted a logo design that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is usually the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the emphasis on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Arabian steed logo layout produced for a horse cattle ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed a one-of-a-kind logotype concept tailored to illustrate the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of horses. With a different head form and higher tail posture, the Arabian is one of the very most easily identifiable equine lineages in the entire world.

Las Coffee shop logo style a little restaurant, style contains a customized manuscript typeface which hovers over a team of luxuriant lines and also dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo style a little restaurant, design consists of a changed manuscript font which floats over a group of ornate lines and dots.

Logo style for a software program developer the style functions and also renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the owner of the business and in many cases the meaning supporting a company logo is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly realized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to market their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Miami logo dsign utilizing an image which captures the interest of traffic and sends an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo style has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t actually composed for an Miami, Florida area farm it was in reality developed for a products broker, and this particular business logo was one of many which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to create a brand mark that projects trust, financial success, and wealth.

Miami Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo style feature for outwardly facing arrowhead as well as the arrowheads indicate that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the opportunity to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye in the absence of realizing where the target is. Thankfully, in this case, I hit a bullseye with the first try.

Logo design created for making use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font that is reminiscent of a popular sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted quite a lot of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked closely with the proprietor to produce a logo design which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
