Navarre Logo Design

Nearly every new Navarre venture realizes that they require a logo, yet few entrepreneurs entirely realize the pivotal role their logo can take in their becoming successful, or precisely why one business logo functions more effectively than another. A company logo has an immediate and long-term impact on the financial success of a company, select the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Navarre companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require contemplation, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will remain legible and equally emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Navarre coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening in an old section of town and really wanted to visualize a vintage tone without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished both jobs by designing a company logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and also germs developed for Navarre clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which studies the triggers and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare which works with the laboratory evaluation of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the only instance I recollect in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and more memorable.

logo layout with a jumping environment-friendly frog designed for a family fun center in Navarre.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Navarre traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead convey emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something similar to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Navarre logo but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Navarre logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I honestly savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but my client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members did not share his hatred for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get objective judgements on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to design their business logo understand how essential a logo is for their company so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo job possesses it’s share of hurdles, however the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Navarre publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most crucial part of a printed book due to the fact that it is in most cases the very first thing a person views in the bookstore. Regarding a publisher, it’s the opportunity that they will likely ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it looks like that in many instances one of the aspects folks usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a sense of flight and it was definitely a winner.

Navarre logo design made use of for marketing and also a label style for Vintage Case features an old-fashioned font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be older cases. For this business logo design I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Navarre, style include an arc with lines converging via it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most challenging logo design jobs due to the fact that it appears that every single dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a household nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities staggered in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to describe exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair design workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo which conveyed a spirit of contentment and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious route of designing merely a stylized orchid but instead delivered a business logo which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is usually the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the focus on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Logo style for a software application programmer the layout attributes and also famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the meaning supporting a logo design is just as important as how it brands the company it represents.

A logo layout including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly recognized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a location to sell their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Navarre logo design dsign along with an illustration that grabs the attention of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo style has actually a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo design wasn’t actually produced for an Navarre area farm it was actually developed for a products broker, and this particular logo design was one of a handful of that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to make a brand mark that projected self-confidence, financial success, and prosperity.
Logo designed for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is evocative a well-known sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked directly with the business owner to produce a logo which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
