North Lauderdale Logo Design

Virtually every new North Lauderdale business knows they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs fully understand the vital role their logo design will take in their success, or exactly why one logo design performs more effectively than another. A logo design has a critical and lasting influence on the prosperity of a business, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help North Lauderdale companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require deliberation, they can be understood in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bicycle created for a North Lauderdale coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening up in an older part of town and really wanted to cast a vintage feel without appearing as boring or low energy. I achieved both of these tasks by creating a business logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria created for North Lauderdale clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the clinical evaluation of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I recollect where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and much more memorable.

logo design with a jumping green frog designed for a household enjoyable center in North Lauderdale.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a better lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - created for North Lauderdale travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead reveal emotional journeys by means of the images they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with mere words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  North Lauderdale logo design but also to reveal the depth in her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

North Lauderdale logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I truly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but the client, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his aversion for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased judgements on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their business logo understand how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are way more invested in the outcome. Every logo job possesses it’s share of hurdles, but the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for North Lauderdale book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, but it is the most crucial part of a published book considering that it is usually the very first thing a person sees in the bookstore. Regarding a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will ever get to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go nevertheless it seems that in many instances one of the traits people often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest fledgling commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a feeling of flight and it was surely a success.

North Lauderdale logo layout made use of for marketing and also a tag layout for Vintage Situation features an old font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be much older cases. For this custom logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in North Lauderdale, layout include an arc with lines converging with it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can be one of the most difficult logo design projects because it appears that virtually every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really enjoy doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family members nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities staggered in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to summarize precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair style workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design which conveyed a sense of peace and class for their new hair studio. I created a design that did not go the obvious course of creating simply a stylized orchid but rather designed a company logo which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is oftentimes the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the emphasis on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their customers.

Logo style for a software designer the layout functions and iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a company logo is just as important as how it serves the company it represents.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly recognized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to sell their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their North Lauderdale business logo dsign along with an image which garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo design has actually an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t actually developed for an North Lauderdale area farm it was in reality designed for an investments broker, and this logo design was one of several which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to generate a image that projects confidence, effectiveness, and wealth.
Logo developed for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is similar to a famous sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted dozens of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked directly with the proprietor to develop a business logo which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
