North Port Logo Design

Every new North Port company realizes that they require a logo, yet few new business owners fully understand the pivotal role their business logo can take in their financial success, or exactly why one logo performs more effectively than another. A logo design has an immediate and long-term effect on the success of a business, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help North Port businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require contemplation, they can be realized in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and equally emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a North Port coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening up in an old part of the city and hoped to visualize an old-fashioned vibe without coming across as boring or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs by means of developing a custom logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and also germs made for North Port clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which researches the root causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which works with the clinical examination of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I remember in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents very literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more attention grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping environment-friendly frog created for a household enjoyable facility in North Port.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and also a tree - made for North Port traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche area because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather reveal emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they often share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  North Port logo but also to illustrate the depth to her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

North Port logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I honestly savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however the customer, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man really despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his aversion for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get honest judgements on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to create their logo design understand how vital a logo is for their organization so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo design project possesses it’s portion of hurdles, but the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, style for North Port publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most important part of a published book due to the fact that it is in most cases the initial thing a person views in the book shop. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will ever have to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it seems like that in many cases one of the items individuals tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest start-up commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a spirit of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

North Port logo layout made use of for advertising and marketing and a label design for Vintage Instance includes an old-fashioned font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be vintage cases. For this business logo design I strove to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in North Port, style include an arc with lines converging via it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most challenging logo projects due to the fact that it seems that each and every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I actually love doing dentistry logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters startled in elevation to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to illustrate precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo layout produced for a hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo which carried a spirit of serenity and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept which didn’t go the obvious direction of making merely a stylized orchid but instead designed a business logo which implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is generally the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the focus on the perception that they wanted to project to their customers.

Logo style for a software developer the layout functions and also famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the owner of the company and in many cases the substance supporting a logo design is equally as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

A logo design including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly understood the market was ready for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a place to sell their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their North Port logo design dsign utilizing a graphic which garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo design has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t actually produced for an North Port regional farm it was actually created for an investments broker, and this particular company was one of several which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to make a graphic that projects esteem, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo design designed for the use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is reminiscent of a well-known sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked closely with the proprietor to design a logo that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
